Zusätzlich gibt man seine Verantwortung zum einen an Microsoft ab und zum anderen an die EU, die dafür sorgen muss, dass die Nutzung auch wirklich sicher und legal ist.

in reply to lobingera • • •@lobingera Verstehe ich. Es ist ja auch nicht meine Meinung, dass das alles toll ist. Bei Microsoft sehen die meisten Leute nicht, was sie bei den Alternativen als Problem sehen. Wenn bei Microsoft etwas nicht geht, ist das halt so - "ist halt n Computer". Wenn es einen Fehler bei Open Source gibt: "Da sieht man mal diese ganzen Fehler, die die Programmierer im Keller natürlich nicht wegmachen."
Aber Microsoft bevorzugt natürlich die eigenen Programme unter Windows. Beim Nextcloud-Client musste ich immer das Admin-Passwort bei Updates eingeben - auf allen Rechnern. One Drive aktualisiert sich mit Windows. Edge aktualisiert sich mit Windows. Firefox muss das extra machen.
Das ist alles natürlich unter Linux gar kein Problem.
Aber finde mal Dienstleister für den Umstieg.

Wenn die davon weg wollen, haben die idealerweise eine Phase in der sie ein hybrides System nutzen - so wie gerade bei der Landesverwaltung in Schleswig-Holstein: Die Applikationen werden umgestellt, aber das Betriebssystem bleibt erst einmal Windows. Am Ende wird Linux drunter geschoben.
Selbst wenn man einen Dienstleister findet, der sich damit auskennt und den Prozess organisiert: Das ist halt nicht "es soll einfach funktionieren."
Kennst Du Dienstleister, die das machen?

Wir sehen hier deutlich ein Henne-Ei-Problem: Solange keiner umsteigen will, solange gibts keine Standardlösung um Umzusteigen.
Ich gehöre auch zu den Leuten, die glauben, das ist Aufgabe der öffentlichen Verwaltung, da mal ein gutes Beispiel zu geben (München-Linux anyone?) aber dauert noch.

in reply to lobingera • • •@lobingera Wie klug ist es, Einzelpersonen mit so etwas zu beauftragen? Vielleicht, wenn ich 15 Arbeitsplätze habe und selbst genug davon verstehe. Aber wenn es um 100 Arbeitsplätze geht und der Kram dann auch wirklich verfügbar sein muss?
Aber das ist, was ich meine: Es ist nicht nur Stockholm-Syndrom bei Unternehmen. Die haben wirklich derzeit keine Möglichkeit, so einfach umzusteigen, wie sie Microsoft beauftragen können.
Ein williger Dienstleister müsste einen willigen Kunden finden und beide müssten akzeptieren, dass man das Angebot erst zusammen entwickelt und dass keiner von beiden genau weiß, wo man eigentlich ankommt - technisch wie preislich… Das ist auch ein Risiko.

in reply to Steffen Voß • • •@kaffeeringe Ich hab' mich am Rande einer anderen Veranstaltung mit "Leuten" unterhalten die in der Fintech Startup Szene tätig sind und wir stellten dann fest, das sie sowas - einen Betrieb im laufenden Betrieb auf eine andere Platform stellen - schon ein paar Mal gemacht haben.
Natürlich geht das nur bei Betrieben die Struktur+Dokumentation aufweisen ...
