Both US and UK debt are non-sustainable by even fiction optimistic models.... unless of course they can survive by devaluating the currency by 5-6X while oil and most common commodities maintain their current relative value.

For an avg. working person in the US this may mean the cost of gas to go and come from work may be twice the pay they receive, which makes the relationship with work non-sustainable ...

It is much more convenient to start WW3 and cover up debt default as a war measure, especially when enemies are stacking up on their bonds.

Then when it is over, the rats can reset the clock and start the state to industrialist/bankers/media welfare system, accumulating debt for "development".
