I'm not a fan of this kind of thing from 404: 404media.co/dogequest-site-cla…

There's a lot of people who own Teslas who have owned them for years and wanted to buy an EV to help the environment. I'd wager the majority of them are probably not exactly fans of the direction things are going in the states, so all you're gonna do is end up harming the people who are probably among the most on your side.

i took a photo of the Hitachi HD46505 sync generator chip (a MC6845 clone). unfortunately it broke into pieces when i decapped the package using a heat gun, but the fragments are interesting.
in reply to Tube Time

IIRC, the "S" at the end of the P/N is significant (i.e., not a binning or package code), and distinguishes it from a slightly different part with an "R" suffix. It's not a revision level per se, as both chips were orderable contemporaneously.

I rode 22 miles tonight and got home very late, but i had prepped enough for a pizza that this didn't take long once i got home
in reply to Emily Velasco

looks so good. I’ve been wanting to make pizzas especially with you posting these… soon I think. Peer pressure pizza. I have most/all of the ingredients too(!)
in reply to Zack Stern

@zackstern you should! remember that even bad pizza is still good, so even if you do terribly, it will still be tasty and you can only go up from there
in reply to Emily Velasco

thanks for pizza wisdom. I’ve done it a bunch too, posted it here before I think. I think it’s just been like 6 months since most recently, and that’s a long time.

I’m usually firing on a sheet metal/steel piece, but I might also try your cast iron style.

in reply to Zack Stern

@zackstern oh, then you're an old hand at this. Definitely try the cast iron. it works nicely

Should get the court to declare "Instant fine payable to the defendant of $1million doubling on each occurrence this libel is repeated to anyone by OpenAi or its systems". .. And the Dad then agrees it split it 50/50 with anyone who can provide evidence of the breach...
in reply to Ars Technica

If AI companies could "delete" hallucinations they would have done so already. But that's the problem, they can't.

trump's approval is around 4 points underwater, which I believe is the worst approval rating for any president ever this early in his term.

donald trump IS the old republican party in numerous ways. "maybe they'll just stop being mean to us" is not a plan. it's not resistance. it's failure and surrender.

DC: I'm teaching a class, "How to Add Video Screens to Your Artwork," at the Washington Studio School in Dupont Circle. It meets each Monday night, April 7–28, for four weeks. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to build a silent, small video screen (4" diagonal) that automatically plays your video, looping forever, using a low-power "Raspberry Pi" computer. Then you'll find out how to cleanly install it into a sculpture, panel, or canvas.

Financial Times piece on $1.4 billion in shaky accounting on #Tesla’s books is… whoah.

Due to the reality of British libel laws and #ElonMusk’s propensity to sue his detractors i have to assume this is one of the most heavily legally vetted and fact checked things you will ever read. (Also not unreasonable to suspect there might be other tidbits of information the lawyers wouldn't sign off on being published - that happened a *lot* with FT's Wirecard investigation)

p.s. the FT reporter is #DanMcCrum, whose decade long crusade to take down the #Wirecard fraud is one of the more insane stories you can read on the subject of accounting based forensic journalism (McCrum wrote a book about the experience called “Money Men”). Trust me, it's more exciting than it sounds. There's Russian spies and shit.
