Universities aren't defined by their administrations. It's the students who will decide how this goes.

I've been exercising in the morning fairly regularly, so I don't know why it's a daily surprise to me that morning exercise puts me in a good mood for hours.

Anyway, after a lovely walk on which I saw (and heard) a bunch of red-winged blackbirds, we went grocery shopping.

Today's hilarious fun fact: Microsoft doesn't provide a strings utility with windows, but they do have an official SysInternals one available on their website:

learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi…

But being Microsoft, this command line utility makes you agree to a EULA before it'll run.

in reply to FooneπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ

Read the text right above the EULA, or the "/help". I also missed the "/accepteula" switch the first time I used the SysinternalsSuite.

My curiosity about the new Meshtastic 2.6 UI served as an excuse to pick up a T-Deck. I suppose I can also rationalize this as a testing device, but really I just think they're cool.

Privacy is Also Protecting the Data of Others

in reply to Nemeski

One of the points I often give to people who claim "I don't care about my privacy" is maybe others close them do, and endangering others' privacy and data security is an irresponsible decision as a partner, parent, friend or family member, so it's always good to raise awareness

I'm currently reading "The Witch of Little Italy" by Suzanne Palmieri.

I like the book so far. I'm about 2/3 of the way through. I'm a sucker for a story that centers witches and magical realism and this book has that. It also has a lot of complicated relationship/family drama, wrapped up in mystery and lost memories.

The state of California is warning 23andMe customers to delete their data because odds are good that the company is going to go bankrupt.

If I were you I would prioritize doing this.

oag.ca.gov/news/press-releases…

in reply to Ernie Smith

You do not want your genetic data to end up in a bankruptcy court, where it ends up in the hands of the highest bidder. If you ever used 23andMe, do this now.

Cassandrich reshared this.

in reply to Ernie Smith

Make sure to follow the instructions in the "To Destroy Your 23andMe Test Sample" and "To Revoke Permission for Your Genetic Data to be Used for Research" sections *before* deleting your account or you won't be able to log in to do so.
