In my relatively small city of Covington WA, with a population of about 21,000, the turn out for today’s No Kings protest is currently conservatively estimated at 2,000 plus. So around 10% of the population lining the main road through the town. This is the biggest protest I’ve seen in Covington.
Haven't seen an official crowd size estimate yet for the #NoKings protest and march in #Eugene #Oregon, but it was YUGE. But I can tell you this:
The march started at one end of downtown, and wove thru downtown streets forever. Started at the Federal Courthouse, went down ninth all the way to Olive, down to fifth and back to City Hall in a continuous line of peaceful but pissed off people.
Gunna say easily 5,000 people.
My #nokings suggestion, for when The People retake the government:
June 14 should be designated a national holiday. I suggest we call it Immigration Day, in celebration of the USA as a nation of immigrants.
(I know some people have their birthdays on June 14, but it is what it is!)

The rabbi started his sermon with several minutes of praise for the fact that #Israel had just started a war with #Iran.
The best part, according to the rabbi, was that the IDF's preemptive offensive strikes had, miraculously, harmed only their intended targets. According to him, there were no civilian casualties whatsoever. A Friday the 13th miracle!
Again: you don't get to criticize Israel's detractors for equating being Jewish with supporting Israel if you, the Jews, make supporting Israel literally part of your religious liturgy.
I sent a copy of it to the synagogue's other rabbi because I'm fairly certain she doesn't share her colleague's views, and perhaps knowing he's receiving letters like this will give her some support for doing something about them.
