I attended my local #NoKings protest. It’s amazing that there was a local protest. Normally I’d have to schlep into Washington DC to find a protest, but this one was 3 miles away. In the suburbs. There were probably a few hundred people there. There was an overwhelming amount of support from cars driving by, from grandparents, to small kids, to bus drivers and truck drivers, and even a police officer. I left about an hour early and then had to sleep for a couple hours because I used too many #spoons to attend ( #chronicillness ). But it was worth it. Thank you to everyone across the country and around the world who participated!!
After the acts of terror by MAGA in Minnesota today I didn’t feel safe going to the Capitol protest, but I went to one in my small, white bread, homogenized, suburban town. There were probably 500+ protesters and hundreds and hundreds of cars honking. There are more of us than there are of them.

Approximately 250 people protested today in the middle of Alamogordo, New Mexico. That may be the largest protest in our history.

There is a history to 10th Street. Generations ago, the unwritten rule was that non-whites could only live south of 10th St. That's what created the neighborhood of Chihuahuita.
Great turn out in San Rafael, CA. City Plaza packed and 2 blocks of 4th St filled with people. The best part was right at the start when the cars became their own protest parade. Many of the cars had several men or entire families waving Mexican flags and holding up signs. San Rafael is home to a large Hispanic community, many undocumented, so I loved that they found a safe way to participate. #NoKings #SanRafael
