It's "the year of AI agents". Also, 2025 is yet another year when M365 Copilot cannot yet turn an email into a calendar entry inside Outlook.

Sorry, that was too harsh. It CAN do that -after these 10 steps that I went through. Which included lots of failures and gashlighting, LLM style.

How to create a calendar event from email message with M365 Copilot in 10 easy steps! 1. Ask Copilot to find the email you just received. 2. Ask more specifically, to help the AI in its task. 3. Patiently provide more clues to guide the AI. 4. Do not lose your patience while the AI is busy gaslighting you. 5. Use your creativity to allow the AI to gracefully hide its earlier failures. 6. Kindly request the AI to perform a task - which it will not actually perform but rather pretend that it did. 7. Give the AI space to admit that it has not yet performed the task in a roundabout way. 8. Be clear that you wish the AI to repeat the previous step, but this time without the pretending part. 9. Download the .ics file created by Microsoft 365 Copilot. 10. Import it to your Outlook, just like you’d do with Gmail events.
