My own favourite was probably a small place in Rome that was in the Time Out guide and had a queue outside the door before it opened every day.

Also Americans might explain what style of pizza it was, because apparently the Italian version isn’t good enough for folk in Skidmark, Nebraska or whatever.

Have you ever “killed off” a character in a story that you later regretted saying goodbye to?
Only once have I killed off a character 'on screen', everyone else who has died in my stories has been people the reader never actually meets.
For instance, Lefeng's first family was alive when the story started, but died while ey was away from home, so we never get to meet eir family. So it doesn't really feel like 'killing off' a character. There was no 'saying goodbye' involved.
The one time I killed off a character... well, I won't spoiler, but that death had been planned from almost the moment i conceived of the story and it just makes too much sense in context. No, I don't regret it.

I don't know why they bother announcing it anymore, other than to give The Pie another plaque to hang on the wall. Whenever I visit a new city, I try to find out what their best pizza is and try it. I have not found any that are as good as The Pie.

I feel seen! Well I don't usually order a monster burger but even if I'm eating junk food I get a diet drink with it, using the logic that if I'm consuming 800 calories of rubbish in my food, I really shouldn't be consuming an additional 150 calories of sugar in my drink as well.
Plus the non-sugary drinks are cheaper in the UK these days.
