"Ok but this is from three quarters ago. I assume the last two quarters I have the same mistake."

"Yes probably."

"So can I fix that now?"

"No, you need to wait til we notify you about each quarter."

"When will that be?"

"It takes about six months from the end of the quarter."

"And will I pay late fees based on that?"

"Yes."

The US tax system is utterly godawful. And it is KEPT godawful to create a captive market for tax accountants and tax-prep-software firms like Intuit and H.R.Block, because the tax code and the associated forms are intentionally so Byzantine that the typical individual taxpayer almost cannot correctly file their own taxes. Intuit and its business rivals/allies spend billions a year lobbying Congress to keep it this way.

And this is even aside from the corruption. There are obscure exceptions buried in the tax code that, if you can find them and study them, are written to SPECIFICALLY exempt the purchase of A SINGLE SPECIFIC YACHT from sales tax.

Taxes in the US are structured and complexified in a way to immiserate and endanger regular citizens.

The IRS knows everything already but they make people try to figure out the tax code on their own and fill out esoteric forms - and if they make a mistake *boom!* Punishment.

This contributes to the ongoing "taxes are theft" framing of la-la libertarianism and makes people feel that this is what the parasite class is talking about when they propagandize for "tax cuts".

Billionaires have a project to reduce the American population to a permanent under class.

The intentions of the guys from Silicon Valley are quite bleak and they are not secret about it.

But the way I characterize this entire effort, is it a transformation of the United States as a whole to a human trafficking economy. Plenty of states already make lots of money off of prison labor.

They intend to make that the basis for their world

It's a race between the reduction and economic capacity due to a much more volatile climate, or their own stupidity.

You can see both us being a product of their stupidity and I wouldn't really argue that.
