When the state controls prices statewide, that is Soviet Union, but when a cartel controls prices statewide, that is Free Enterprise.
The point about the unions is great too.

As Smith lived in the C18th, publishing The Wealth of Nations in 1776, while Marx lived in the C19th, publishing Capital in 1867, it is more accurate to call Marx a Smithite than Smith a Marxist.
