Trumpism is a mixture of grievance, surveillance, and pettiness: "I will never forgive your mockery, I have records of you doing it, and I will punish you and everyone who associates with you for it." Think of how he's going after the (cowardly BigLaw firms:

damn, you were in Toronto on my birthday and missed it! Lol. Anyhow, I've been reading your book about seizing the means of computation and have been loving it. When I was in high school and wanted to be a programmer, I devoured your books, especially Pirate Cinema and Little Brother, and now that I'm older, I'm glad you've put out something of the philosophy behind those works. So, thank you! Cheers, man!
one conspiracy theory I find totally plausible is that Mangione was identified by facial recognition tech at McDonalds. Given what we know about how venues like MSG are doing real time facial recognition, and how the feds have backdoor access to things like gmail, and law enforcement access to AI face search platforms like Clearview, it seems totally plausible to me that three letter agencies have face search access to the fleet of McDonalds security cameras
