@ai6yr Have you heard of Goats in the City Inc.? They are based outside of Toronto and use their goats to clear land in cities. The owner is hoping to expand his business. Maybe you could rent out your goats.

so, that goat and pony have bonded? what’s their story because it looks like it’s the same goat on the horse.

GOAT ON A HORSE needs to be name of your next punk spooning band

@blogdiva Earlier in the season, when the baby goats were younger, they seemed to take turns. But yeah, lately it's really almost always this same goat (named Mercedes). The horse enjoys it, he can walk away from the ledge and then the goats can't jump on him. But he stands there and makes happy faces while they massage his back.

that’s amazing. never ceases to amaze me how animals from different species find ways of bonding with each other. humans should take note πŸ™„

So, goats, llama, and pony work as a mixed herd?
For some reason mixed herds bring me joy. πŸ˜€
Saw pictures of bison and camels hanging out in the snow before. Unexpected happiness.

I don't know what band this is, but I love their album cover photo. πŸ˜‰

The little horse goat looks like it has a portrait of one of Casper The Friendly Ghost's uncles on its side 😁

so, yeah, ... I can't resist any more ... small horse, young goat... what's the backstory?
in reply to Prof. Sam Lawler

Goat pictures are always welcome.

I'd love some, but I don't have any land to keep them happy.

in reply to Prof. Sam Lawler

Sorry it's doomy in there. Is it the smoke or... >waves hands everywhere<
in reply to ScottMGS

@ScottMGS Given everything, the only logical response is to be doomy. But it doesn't feel very nice, so goats πŸ˜€

The littler black and white one on the left is almost 2:1 ears to head!!!
in reply to jonny (good kind)

@jonny Yeah! She was even more hilariously proportioned right after she was born! (I put a cut-up sock around her ears and neck to keep her from getting frostbite)

"CHARLES HAWTREY AND THE DEAF-AIDS!

Phase one, in which Doris gets her goats..."

in reply to Prof. Sam Lawler

Sweet! And a llama, too!

Can I add some? Born during a cold snap, so we put sweaters on them.

in reply to Jan Steinman

@Jan_Steinman CUTE!! I put headbands on my first batch this year to protect their ears. Nobody got frostbite despite -15 to -20C temps!
