I'm belatedly getting around to showing off this **GORGEOUS** crochet hat the uber talented @alpenglow made for me. She integrated a pebble light string and #pixelblaze controller. It's all powered by a flat top 18650 with a clever charge/discharge circuit designed by @clomads that snaps just over the positive terminal and minimizes the power circuitry. I'll be seeking out cold places just to wear it!

Is that the same hat style that Davey Crochet wore on the wild front dear?

Is there a pattern available somewhere? I'm doing something similar, but just using regular IKEA LED chain. I found out the hard way having a recipe could be a good thing.

@ami I think that @alpenglow is planning to sell kits and instructions for this project,n it is not quite at that point yet.

@Judeet99 actually, it is designed so that the Pixelblaze is removable, and then it could be hand washed because pebble lights are waterproof.

My partner is a rowing cox and is out at 5am in the winter so they need nav lights, this would be so much better than the borrowed bike lights they usually use attached to her hat.
