TikTok is absolutely going to be a propaganda tool of the American oligarchs and the far right. It should still be banned and the algorithm made public so we can see how they spread their lies.

it seems that non-us countries are not part of a deal, like canada and europe.so, canadian and european tiktok is still owned by bytedance.

i seriously do not know which one is more bad, chinese owners or u.s. owners. pro-trump bias smells badly.

TikTok - and other social media - is *already* a platform for US government propaganda.

Just a few years ago TikTok was national security threat and was going to take the US gov down. Even though the same people that wanted it gone were using the platform to campaign on.

I would rather have Chinese propaganda as they lead the world with solar, EV, and manufacturing technologies, while USA propaganda is fueled by brutal coal and oil exploitation supply chains.
