Photographer Eric J. Smith captured a whale sneaking up on oblivious whale watchers.
The picture shows about a dozen people looking over the side of the boat to the right, looking for a whale. Meanwhile in the foreground, what seems a few feet from them, a whale lifts its whole head out of the water and looks at them.
