A couple of things with this #Iran situation. Seems to me that opens #Trump up to a #Rushdie situation from some sleeper somewhere, and that doesn't require a military to pull off, Secret Service notwithstanding. Somebody somewhere is going to issue a fatwah that will take as many years to pull off as it took for Rushdie. Not that he doesn't have a few fatwahs already in place via Islamists anywhere.

And then there's the matter of pro-Pahlavi faction not all being Iranians. Turns out that the anti-Muslim Parsees fit hand-and-glove with anti-Muslim evangelicals who definitely are NOT Iranians. Parsees prefer to be Persians. So guess where the funding is gonna come from.

Seems to me that Trump's evangelical base is what's going to drive a big wedge between him and his BFF #Putin because Iran is what gives #Russia the Shahed drones used against #Ukraine. So is Russia going to come running to Iran's defense now? It's true that the Shaheds are being produced in Russia but Russia has been counting on Iran + Russia for the total supply, and now it has to subtract Iran.

Bottom line, Putin has just GOTTA be furious at Trump at this point.
