Welp--late again for both #HashtagGames and #Monsterdon . And there's no way to catch up with Monsterdon, unless I saw the movie before. Oh right! I did! 😁

I don't think I knew at the time who Maggie Smith actually was, but it's a joy to see Burgess Meredith and Lawrence Olivier in their glory days again. So yeah--watching it anyway. ❤

Oh my word, such a young thing she was, Maggie Smith! I had to squint to try to recognize her, but yes, it's her, condemning the young mother and her son to death for all she cares.

It helps to fast forward during the long drawn out scenes like the taming of Pegasus to get caught up to where everybody in #Monsterdon must be at. Not quite there yet.

Almost to the Medusa bit. My avatar, for the record. There's more symbolism in what Medusa was turned into than has been covered by latter day lore, and a hint at that can be found in the New Testament where Jesus tells his Twelve to be shrewd as snakes. Even in the Chinese calendar, the Year of the Snake evokes shrewdness, cleverness.
