Curious thing, this.
I saw a remarkable looking refrigerator in some episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents only I don't recall which one it was...and then tonight saw the same model fridge in The Twilight Zone episode "People Are Alike All Over". I would dearly like to find out what make and model that thing was--nobody makes fridge door handles like that anymore.

...and speaking of odd fridges of yesteryear, there was an episode of The Honeymooners date stamped 1956 ("Please Leave The Premises") where Ralph and Alice were kicked out from their apartment onto the street because Ralph refused to pay for the rent increase...and their curious refrigeration device was out on the street with their furniture.

It was a 1930s-40s era ICE BOX. In 1956? ya gotta be kiddin' me! but it's likely part of the visual inference that the rent there was very low to begin with.

. Looks like it is from the era of car design meets kitchen. My guess is that is a Philco, probably around the time Ford Motor Co bought them. General Motors and AMC made refrigerators, also

You're more help than Google, which struck out. I'll look into that--thanks!
I have seen antique Philcos and I don't think that's it, but I'm not ruling it out.
--Oh---
I'm pretty sure I can rule out AMC, since that's a comparatively new conglomerate compared to GMC. It would have been Nash Rambler that far back, I'm thinking...but...Crosley was in the auto business back then and since Crosley made other stuff, it could be that too. Hmmmm!

I came across a 1954 Frigidaire that has one similar. Not exactly, though. lol
