Just been playing with the babies. They are so playful and active, my Supervisor won't know what hit her.

Got stunk out again by my little tabby friend's bathroom visit at 9pm.

in reply to Frank

Babies have had their brekky. She has a new game where she climbs up the back of an office chair (being so light) and sits on top, surveying the room. He is sitting on the chair, whacking at her tail as she does this.

I get the feeling she's about to climb all my bookcases.

in reply to Frank

Babies were up and raring to go by the time I got there for brekky. Last night I gave them two sachets for dinner then one for late dinner and it was all gone. So gave them 3 meals for brekky and he's already devoured 1.5 meals on his own. All kitten milk was drunk as well.

This is why I am going through tonnes of kitty litter 😀

Babies, now with full bellies, are back to playing.

in reply to Frank

Babies have had dinner, are now just in sleepy wandering mode at present. Kitten madness won't really kick off for another hour ish.

Meanwhile my Supervisor is not feeling great, took her to the vet today. I had suspected UTI but discovered she's got some gingivitis and a mouth ulcer. So have to rule out UTI (and wait for her to pee to get a sample), then she'll be going in for dental surgery soon, my poor girl.

Me at the vets "Welp, see you Wednesday with the babies!"

in reply to Frank

Victory! After following my Supervisor around for the past few hours I now have a pee sample to take to the vet first thing in the morning. I do think it's not a UTI now, this should rule it out.

She won't like dental surgery, had another kitty years back with some bad teeth. He adapted to it though, pretty quickly.

in reply to Frank

Another morning, one more sleep until everyone's finally united. I fed the babies who were already up, and they hoovered down most of their brekky by the time I got back from my walk. Patted all the doggies at the park.

Then went for a drive and dropped off my Supervisor's little sample pot. And patted a very excited doggy waiting for their vet appointment.

in reply to Frank

Babies have had dinner. They are currently snuggled on top of each other on a chair. Whatever's left in their plates and milk bowl goes away at bedtime, and then it's fasting time until tomorrow. He's not to eat before surgery from 10pm so no food for either.

Hopefully this makes it easier to catch him in the morning!

Once he's in the carry cage, she can have brekky then we'll go to the vet!

in reply to Frank

D Day is here. Went down to feed them, got her some brekky and waited for him to come into the bathroom. He finally did, then I got the door shut before he could bolt. He tried to hide from me in the litter tray, hissing all the while. I got him out of there and took him to the already open carrier and then he got super mad so now I have some cuts in my wrist but he's in the carrier. She'll be easy to stick in the carrier, however she can go in my old one as he's still mad as hell in there.
in reply to Frank

She has been vaxxed and he's gone off to surgery. He'd scrunched himself into a ball in the corner of the carrier, poor baby.

She's a little sleepy from the vaxx. And has decided safest place right now is hiding in the litter box.

My supervisor is under a desk, feeling very suspicious.

in reply to Frank

I have taken this oppo to move all the kitten stuff upstairs so she can find something familiar to hide in.

Supervisor is hanging with me, is sus.

in reply to Frank

I cleaned three trays out, moving her along as I cleaned. She's back in a tray. Supervisor crept in, tail got all boofed up and the two sniffed noses. Then Supervisor growled a couple of times, baby hissed, Supervisor now under a seat thinking about things.
in reply to Frank

Someone wants to eat kitten brekky.

Baby is sleeping in the litter box, no doubt some tiredness from the vaccine and it's been quite a stressful, tiring, morning.

in reply to Frank

Got baby out of the box, she sat in my lap for a while looking around in amazement at her new world. Then got startled and ran under the oven. So I had to get her out from under there and block that off. She's back in the litterbox.

Things are very scary when you've grown up outside and suddenly all this is happening.

in reply to Frank

Her brother's surgery went fine, shall pick him up shortly. The two of them together again will reassure the both of them, no doubt.
in reply to Frank

Well he was the naughtiest patient today, apparently. Not that he's at all socialised to begin with, unfortunately. Been hissing and not happy post op. Then they discovered they hadn't given him a vaxx so he got that too. Is home, in the carrier still. Has hissed at me twice so I've put out dinner for them both and left them to sort things out. He's facing her in the litterbox.
in reply to Frank

Heard a clunking sound from the laundry, he was ducking back into the carrier. Some food has been eaten, I suspect by him. She's still in the litter tray, in loaf position, looking relaxed. I have no doubt they'll come out tonight to explore once it's dark and quiet.
in reply to Frank

Just checked on them. He's still in carrier but Iooks like he's had more to eat.

She's still in a hooded tray, laying and relaxed in there. I picked her up and put her by food bowls to show her dinner but she wasn't interested and has gone back to the tray.

Just heard a hiss coming from there, I think he's hissed at his sister.

in reply to Frank

I got woken in the night by my Supervisor cleaning my hair. A couple hisses happened but nothing major.

Found her between some bookcases but she came out for me. Got her to have some brekky.

He's currently lodged himself here. Still has vet ID collar on him as he wasn't letting them take it off. I'll let him sort himself out at his own pace. Hopefully hunger will eventually bring him out.

in reply to Frank

Put my friend in a familiar place. She was ok in there, poked at some toys. But has gone back to the safety of the laundry.
in reply to Frank

Have been visiting with the babies all day, she's happy to come out and get pats, play with some toys, purring. Makes teeny squeaks occasionally at me.

He's been hiding all day.

Dinner time rolls around.

I get everyone's bowls cleaned and ready. Put a fresh lot of food and milk near where he's hiding, and bring dinner to her. Encourage her to come out to eat, she has a little, wants pats and belly rubs and reassurance. I clean out the trays so everyone has plenty of options without conflict.

in reply to Frank

Go back to check on him and hey, he's left his hidey spot! Check the bowl, he's gotten up and eaten most of his dinner, didn't touch the milk. I go looking. He's lurking between the bookcases, where I found her this morning, in a tight corner of course. Hissing. So he's feeling pretty normal 😀

Oh he did let me snip the hospital ID collar off him earlier, he wouldn't let the vet do it yesterday but must have been getting sick of it.

So, so far so good. Supervisor still very interested in them.

in reply to Frank

Heard some teeny squeaks; she wanted some company for play time! So I had a play with her and guess who else pops out of his corner and wants to play!

He's hissing and growling at her at present. I told him to knock it off, as they need each other.

Just chucking more toys over there to get them to come out.

Supervisor staring, from a distance.

in reply to Frank

They're both in a playful mood, but still separate and still hissing at each other. I've told them to sort their shit out by morning.
in reply to Frank

Nothing happened there. Then he went to explore some tunnels. Supervisor saw him, went over there, they start howling and hissing at each other. He turns, runs, she follows, tail three times normal size. Now they're under furniture, glowering at each other.

Kids these days.

in reply to Frank

After a night light on sleep for us, and only a few hisses from them, it was morning again. Fed them all and went to the pool filled with trepidation. They were all alone in here....

But all is well, still all in their own spots. When I got back, I went to see him, in the corner. And he just left me pick him up and we sat and patted and cuddled and belly rubbed and he purred! It's been a few weeks since he's let me touch him. 😭 Eventually I took him to his bowl and pointed out his brekky.

in reply to Frank

I left him there and came back in ten mins and he'd eaten and gone back to the corner. Gave her some cuddles, and my Supervisor. Supervisor decided to ditch us all for Narnia.

So I got him out of the corner for another cuddle then put him in the laundry with his sister to sort out their issues. Because these two need each other, not fighting each other. Let's see if either figure out the cat door...

in reply to Frank

she's in the litter tray, he's in a box. I just cleaned the other litter tray in there for them and took the hood off the one she's hiding out in. Told them to sort it out, they love each other and need each other.

Shall leave them alone to resolve things.

in reply to Frank

Sat with them for a while. Poor little boy, he's really been missing attention I think. He just relaxed fully into my lap, half asleep and wanted belly rubs and contact. These two still hissing at each other. But when I pick him up, he's just snuggling in and won't move. 😍
in reply to Frank

Nipped out to get a haircut, came back to this.

Gave him some more cuddle time. He's still grumbling at her but it's less, at least when I'm around.

in reply to Frank

Had a brainwave, swapped the little cardboard home out with the palace temporarily. She leapt straight into it. Pulled him hissing out of the box and stuck him in on the ground floor and left them to it.

Did just give them dinner, she's eaten a fair amount and drunk lots of milk. He was too busy grumbling. Hopefully now they'll settle down and go back to the usual ways.

in reply to Frank

Checked on them. She was on top floor, he was on second floor and they were hissing and slapping at each other. So I went out to water the plants, came back and she's still on the top floor, snoozing and he's in loaf position on the ground.

At least most of dinner has been eaten, neither had much to eat yesterday or this morning. Things slowly getting back to normal.

Now to figure out how to use the washing machine tomorrow, and if they'll leave the laundry long enough. That palace moves a lot

in reply to Frank

Babies are in a frisky mood tonight, full of play. Just not with each other, yet. Still hissing at each other and some growling but it's less, and they're getting closer physically to each other. Hopefully be sorted by morning. My Supervisor got too aggressively close to her and needed to be stopped to avoid terrorising a baby. But so far, things are improving. Lots of toys tossed around, they're exploring the kitchen now, building confidence.
in reply to Frank

Left to their own devices they are starting to chase each other....it is playtime for them after all.

Now to get them out of this nocturnal timezone.

in reply to Frank

Babies left me two lovely stink bombs. She waited until I cleaned the tray before depositing hers. Thanks.

Lots of chasing going on, far less hissing. Pair of dingalings.

My Supervisor watches from afar. She knows to behave herself whilst I am up. Hoping she leaves them alone when we go to bed.

in reply to Frank

Well it was another relatively calm night, only a bit of hissing. The babies are mostly back to normal, with the occasional hiss. She bopped him on the head, he hissed from being startled 😀

Have moved the palace out of the laundry and she's ok with this, and the sounds of the washing machine. They're now chasing each other around. Supervisor has scampered off to Narnia.

in reply to Frank

Got back from an Aldi run to find her under a table, sleeping, and him snoozing under a rug. Nothing's changed, really.

They're doing pretty well with the noise of the washing machine. All noises are new to to them, so running a microwave or even an egg timer gets startled looks.

My Supervisor has left Narnia and has a case of the sillies. A lot of galloping going on.

in reply to Frank

Time to turn on the air con. My Supervisor's taken to her cardboard couch and the kittens are flat out under a table.

It's 37 outside and 28 in here.

in reply to Frank

Right now they're sprinting around the kitchen playing with a few of these. It's like cat crack.
in reply to Frank

Babies are wanting to explore more.He went into the second bedroom and my Supervisor followed him in to hiss and growl and catch him in there. And sat in the doorway blocking his exit until I stepped in.

Meanwhile little tabby is eating Supervisor's dinner 😀 Cheeky.

in reply to Frank

Yet again, as soon as I clean it out for him, then she goes in there and kapow.
in reply to Frank

Another mostly peaceful night. Only a couple things knocked over. They're exploring further afield now, someone's been up on the kitchen table, plucking fake flowers out of the vase.

Lots of playfulness this morning, under the watchful eye of my Supervisor who sits at the other end.

in reply to Frank

My Supervisor is in a silly mood. Now she needs to bring this to the babies.
in reply to Frank

Well! My Supervisor started heading towards the kittens so I thought I'd just wait and see what happens.....silence. I go look, she's on a cat bed 1m away from tabby kitten, both snoozing. No hissing, no growling. Could a corner be turned? I hope so...

in reply to Frank

We are now in the chase each other around and gallop portion of the evening. Before the stinkbombs go off....
in reply to Frank

Kittens are too busy chasing each other. You know this means they're going to stinkbomb me in the night. 😬
in reply to Frank

Strangely, no stinkbomb? I just went to the pool, got back to find everyone had eaten most of their brekky. And a litter tray hood was askew. I suspect my Supervisor was involved, she's still grumbling and hissing. Kittens appear unharmed.
in reply to Frank

It is chase each other around and brawl time
This entry was edited (2 months ago)
in reply to Frank

Another quiet night, kittens played for a while, my Supervisor stayed on my bed with me. Left them for an hour this morning whilst I was out walking and everyone's unscathed. Supervisor has lunged at the kittens a couple times but they're too quick for her. Hoping this is all for show, so far no all out brawls.
in reply to Frank

I was playing with the kittens when Supervisor decided to come over and see what was going on. Cue lots of staring.
in reply to Frank

Kittens are galloping around chasing each other. He managed to stinkbomb me mid afternoon, quite impressive stench.

Tonight they've been to the loo, one after the other, and no stinkbomb. Maybe they can only let one off once a day.

Yesterday he went to one tray, pooped, so she went to another, pooped. Then she went to his tray, peed in there and sorted out the litter and buried it all. Then he went back and reburied it all.

There's some weird system going on and I don't know the rules.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor was lurking around furniture last night and I heard her go off her nut at the babies. No idea what happened as I couldn't see but she got yelled at for being so rude and sent to the bedroom to chill out.

Quiet night, she slept on me all night long and the kittens settled down not long after we went to bed. They were up when I woke this morning. We've had playtime since I got back from the pool and now they're all sleepy.

Food consumptions getting back to usual levels.

in reply to Frank

The kittens are getting braver and more adventurous. Are now sussing out Supervisor's stuff and the rest of the place.

Supervisor is on the couch, I am awaiting fireworks.

in reply to Frank

So he goes into the bedroom where Supervisor is on the couch, and has a perve around. She follows. I watch from afar. Eventually they go to check out the couch and that's a bridge too far, Supervisor gets mad, babies retreat.

They're still checking out stuff though, being curious kittens.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor has decided going to sleep next to me, on my desk, is a good kitten free spot.

Kittens are now off having a post dinner/exploration snooze.

in reply to Frank

Slowly exploring further and further, and finding more comfy spots for sleeping on.
in reply to Frank

My supervisor is comfy and not stressing about the babies taking one of her beds
in reply to Frank

Babies came to check out her rug, and the box in that photo. Supervisor dove over and went to hit little tabby, got yelled at. This will take some time.
in reply to Frank

I've been for a walk, patted all the doggies at the park. Got home and sat with the babies. Supervisor came over to sit and watch them as well. So far all calm. Everyone moving very slowly and carefully.
in reply to Frank

It's rather windy out which may be contributing to the mad chasing and galloping going on here. Supervisor has decided laying on the desk with me is best whilst those two wear each other out.
in reply to Frank

So I sit for a minute to say hello and tabby then decides she needs to lay on me for a while. Meanwhile her brother is pooped and needs some sleep in the palace.
in reply to Frank

Post dinner, she was on my lap for cuddles then decided her brother needed her to lay on his head.
in reply to Frank

They have so many options and yet, here they are under the table again. Supervisor is on her couch miles away.
in reply to Frank

He always looks like he's been busted at something and she just wants pats
in reply to Frank

Friyay morning, hurrah! Fed the babies, they're still sick of kitten food so they get a can of Supervisor food mixed in with it and that is devoured. Went swimming, got home to two full of food and beans kittens who are chasing each other around and around and around.

Some hissing early this morning but no blows struck that I could hear.

in reply to Frank

Darn it, some kitten posts missed the thread!

masto.nu/@vwdasher/11419742602…

Silly me, I thought they were in here but I must have missed the reply button.

in reply to Frank

Everyone's had dinner, now it's time for the after dinner siesta.
in reply to Frank

Been playing with the babies and now they're chasing each other and brawling. Supervisor is nearby, avidly watching. Hopefully she realises she's outclassed by these two experienced playfighters.
in reply to Frank

Another quiet night! This morning Supervisor is more focussed on nicking kitten brekky than the kittens, Her brekky had to be repointed out to her to draw her away.
in reply to Frank

Got the butterfly toy out for the kittens who were playing with it as I was eating brekky. Supervisor lurked closer and closer....now tabby is shit stirring Supervisor by getting closer to her then running off. Have told them all to be nice. Hopefully they sort out their issues today, it's finally getting cooler at night so they'll be wanting furry buddies to snuggle with soon enough.

And ah, he waited until this morning to set off the next stinkbomb, how kind.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor was laying on her rug, the kittens were in a tunnel snoozing, when we got back. Tabby was interested in checking out the stack books, then was basically nose to nose with Supervisor who then started hissing. But no attempts to lash out and it's not as loud and angry as it was. Hopefully they're slowly finding some middle ground as the two are definitely interested in each other.

Little bro still sticking to the background and watching carefully.

in reply to Frank

These three must have been bloody active today, all were very eager for dinner. Kittens have already wolfed down most of theirs. I should have left a webcam running.
in reply to Frank

My little friend here is a bold explorer and venturing further and further afield. She even got on the cat post and checked it all out. Even with disapproving stares from my Supervisor.
in reply to Frank

The kittens are wrestling their way around the kitchen, and booting every toy imaginable across the floor. Supervisor watches, intrigued. Tabby runs under the stool Supervisor is on and whacks her tail. Supervisor spins around in astonishment but tabby is already long gone to chase her brother.

Supervisor needs to realise it's all in fun, they're not wanting to fight with her.

in reply to Frank

Another fine morning. Alarm goes off at 6am but the kittens are up by 5:30am, rustling around. I expect they'll land on the bed sometime soon. Whether Supervisor wishes to share is another matter.
in reply to Frank

Supervisor got the shits and was getting grumpy with me. Then my tabby friend wandered over and Supervisor lunged and whacked tabby across the head whilst spitting angrily. She got told to fuck off to the bedroom toot sweet. Poor tabby didn't know what hit her.
in reply to Frank

Both babies are exploring this washing machine box. There's big holes cut into each side and inside there's cardboard shelves to climb between. My Supervisor loves getting in here and now the babies are having fun in it.
in reply to Frank

Supervisor fed, babies fed. Supervisor now sleeping on my desk next to me. Babies have gone into a tunnel to curl up together. He was having fun trashing the tunnels earlier, making them move metres away from their usual spot.

They have their after dinner siesta, then we have playtime in a couple hours. And encourage Supervisor to play nicely.

in reply to Frank

Playtime has been and gone, time for me to go to bed. And the kittens to continue their goofing for a while before they conk out too.
in reply to Frank

We go to bed, kittens are still playing together. An hour or so later, I think tabby went exploring, and got trapped in a room by my Supervisor. Suddenly a whole lot of angry cat shrieking, I dive out of bed. They both shoot out of the room. I eventually find tabby, terrified and jumpy, and calm her down. Then put my Supervisor in the bedroom and close the door so she can calm the fuck down and stop terrorising babies.

Attempt to go back to sleep.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor keeps trying to get out, I eventually let her out around 5am. She's still in the shits, so everyone needs to be watched over for brekky. I go to the pool. Get back and she's still aggro, so she's in the bedroom again to cool off.

Kids these days.

At least today the babies have calmed down but are still jumpy. If she tries hissing at him, he hisses back and she backs off, but he's bigger. Tabby the easy target?

in reply to Frank

Supervisor and I have have some one on one time, with her favourite brush, and she's chilled out a bit now. Here's hoping it continues.
in reply to Frank

The key today is lots of cuddles for Supervisor. She's jealous of the babies, so when I give them pats, she comes over and glares. So she's getting lots of attention to try chill her out.
in reply to Frank

First round of dinner in temporary location until things settle down. Once they've finished, bowls go into laundry for seconds, out of the way of Supervisor.

Kittens are preferring their kitten food cut with a can of adult food right now. I'd be sick of it too, they've been getting it for weeks.

in reply to Frank

It was time for the post dinner siesta, and she wanted to snuggle.
in reply to Frank

My supervisor spent the night on my legs and under the doona this morning, no brawls, no fighting. She is a good girl. Everyone wolfed down brekky, no brawling whilst I was out walking.

Supervisor did have a moment of chasing Tabby who was in the laundry but stopped very quickly when I called her. Hopefully this is all an improvement.

in reply to Frank

I put the butterfly toy out for the kittens and Supervisor came over. She's actually not a big user of this, but had to assert that she's the boss.
in reply to Frank

When the babies are playing, Supervisor gets intrigued and a little closer.
in reply to Frank

This guy just spent over an hour flopped in my lap getting belly rubs, so relaxed he fell asleep on me and started dreaming. He pretends to be so tough and stand-offish and then when you pat him he goes completely limp and purrs like mad.
in reply to Frank

Happy to report another quiet night. Supervisor slept on me again, babies had a fun play late and early this morning and no dramas. Brekkies were hoovered up by all. Babies are currently playing in a tunnel, my Supervisor is currently visiting Narnia as there's no sun to recharge with.
in reply to Frank

Just because I emptied the litter tray and refilled it with clean litter does NOT mean you need to get in it immediately.
in reply to Frank

This just arrived in the mail from Aliexpress, another bedroom for kitties. My Supervisor is checking it to see that it matches building codes.
in reply to Frank

Babies are pooped after lots of playtime today. Hopefully another quiet night.
in reply to Frank

Stinkbomb has just gone off. Will there be a second before bedtime, like last night?

🥁

in reply to Frank

Thankfully no second stinkbomb. And all quiet overnight, Supervisor slept on me again. I've been for a walk and no one's murdered anyone else.

We will be at the airshow on the weekend, I think I might put the babies downstairs for it, just to be on the safe side as we'll be out all day long for both days. Then everyone can have plenty of play area.

in reply to Frank

My Supervisor, tuning out baby shenanigans and having a lovely day.
in reply to Frank

It's that time of day when it's post romping, finish off brekky, wash each other and cuddle on the chair time.
in reply to Frank

Supervisor has arrived, and is judging them harshly. Shouldn't dinner be prepared now, not this messing about?
in reply to Frank

Just spent the past hour rubbing his belly as he lay sprawled out across my lap, purring all the while. Amazing the personality change, from running away from me to just being a dead weight who won't get off me as soon as patting starts.

His sister meanwhile:

in reply to Frank

It is stampeding time, the pounding of little paws going across the floor. Crashing into the tunnels, little PRRTS? happening. They're slowly making some noises now, little squeaks at times when looking for me or each other. He actually squeaked a few times when I said his name as he lay in my arms. Hopefully learning to squeak from seeing and hearing their Supervisor talking.
in reply to Frank

Another quiet night! Supervisor slept with me, no dustups with kittens. So far so good! I went swimming, and little tabby had to lick my hand when I got home. Then he finally sniffed my chlorinated fingers and decided that was delightful, proceeded to first lick then chew my fingers and hand 😀 Mmm fresh.

They've devoured their brekky and are chasing each other around and over furniture.

in reply to Frank

I pack up some of their things for their weekend downstairs in safety away from Supervisor. Tabby wanted to know why I was taking her stuff. I get her downstairs, she hides under the rug like she's never seen the place.

Sigh.

I go back upstairs, eventually catch him and take him downstairs. He dives under the rug and immediately hisses at her like she's a stranger 🤦‍♂️ Bloody drama queens.

It's two nights! And they spent weeks in here! Ay carumba.

in reply to Frank

Now currently pissing off Supervisor by running the steam mop around. The floor was overdue so may as well do it now. Supervisor hates it so much.
in reply to Frank

Floor clean, kitten paw prints all cleaned up, as well as a couple milk spills on the rug. Supervisor strutting around like she owns the place.

Went downstairs, got tabby out from under the rug and gave her some cuddles. Put her in the cardboard palace and she settled down, purring.

Go get him out from under the rug, hissing. We sit for a bit, he settles in my lap. Ok, put him in cardboard palace. He takes one look at her, hisses and back under the rug.

in reply to Frank

I leave him, go get washing off line, come back in and he's scoping out the room again. Silly buggers. They should settle with some dinner soon. I told them both this is only temporary!
in reply to Frank

Babies are up and about now, have eaten some dinner and played a bit with the carbon stick. Have left them to have their post dinner siesta.
in reply to Frank

Just got kitten cam up and running. Went down there to plug it in, she's in the palace, he's in the tunnel. Come back up here and they're up and brawling as usual.

It's so quiet up here without them 😭

in reply to Frank

Had some playtime with the babies before bedtime. They're back to their usual games.
in reply to Frank

Babies are up and raring to go, running around like maniacs. They've got extra brekky today, two meals each, as we will be home late (that's if the airshow is going ahead, hoping it is). They've already trashed the room. 😀
in reply to Frank

Home again from the airshow. I had given them both 2 meals each this morning, and they had already eaten most of it by the time we left! So my first duty was getting them dinner when we got home, and most of that is gone now. Tomorrow they'll get extra brekky again and tomorrow night be upstairs again with us.

My Supervisor is very excited that we're home and is doing zoomies.

in reply to Frank

Home again, kittens are back upstairs and settled back into things. Supervisor is in a silly mood due to wind, and now damn, those kids are back.
in reply to Frank

Familiar rustling sounds and toys being knocked around. Tunnel being played with. Supervisor offended. Normality has resumed.
in reply to Frank

I've gotten back from the pool and doing a quick grocery run as I couldn't yesterday. Tabby had to lick all the chlorine off my hand. Little boy pretended he was just chasing some string but wriggled into the chair in front of me for a belly rub, he had a good huff and chew of my hand as well.

Supervisor got jealous and had to interrupt. Bloody middle management.

in reply to Frank

Just confirmed, Supervisor's dental surgery happens this Friday. She is not going to be amused AT ALL about this. 😬
in reply to Frank

Me - here are two large cat beds for you to sleep on

Babies - we squish on here now

in reply to Frank

There's nothing quite like a morning stinkbomb to start your day.
in reply to Frank

Robovac came out, kittens followed it around, fascinated. It pushed a catbed further under a couch and now they sleep on it.
in reply to Frank

Just have to share this, the babies are purring and snoozing curled up together because they love each other so much.

#kitten #kittens #KittensOfMastodon #cat #cats #Caturday #CatsOfMastodon

in reply to Frank

This one goes to sit on Supervisor's rug. Then Supervisor runs at him, hissing and whacks him on the butt for daring to be on her rug 🙄
in reply to Frank

Me - gee someone's having a very long dig in the litter tray, I should see what's going on.

Kittens - WHEEEEEEEE LITTER PAARTTAAAYYYYY

in reply to Frank

We've had quiet nights as it's getting cooler and my supervisor needs to leech all my bodyheat all night long. So she stays on the bed and the kittens gallivant around and sleep elsewhere eventually. Tomorrow morning she's off for dental surgery and I am hoping this takes her grumpiness down several notches. She was in a box quite near the kittens last night, just watching. At one stage he forgot where she was and stopped near her which caused a lot of hissing and air slapping.
in reply to Frank

However they're mostly keeping apart and doing their own thing. Let's see if things change after tomorrow, or just due to cooler temperatures.

Right now she's on her post watching the kittens romp around.

The kittens knocked over a pot plant of mine as I was fetching them brekky this morning, cheeky buggers.

in reply to Frank

Everyone's had dinner, now it's post dinner siesta time. They all lose their bowls tonight as Supervisor needs to fast for surgery and we don't need temptation. So bedtime and bowls go into hiding. Brekky only for kittens, I am sure that will go well 🙄
in reply to Frank

Introducing the concept of a brush to the kittens this week.

She likes a brushing but won't stay still, keeps trying to twist around and chew on the fur between the bristles. Grabs it to whack or bite.

He liked the brushing but is also confused by the brush. Has slapped it a lot.

My Supervisor loses her mind as soon as you touch a brush and wants to be brushed day n night. This will rub off on them eventually, no doubt.

in reply to Frank

Babies turned a desk light on sometime this morning. More exploring happening.

Supervisor is Not At All Amused as she gets no brekky today. Is giving us evil glares.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor currently feeling unloved, in her snuggle. 😭
in reply to Frank

Supervisor is now at kitty hospital waiting for her turn. 😭 She was very unimpressed, squished herself into the back of the carry cage. How dare I feed the kittens not her. Then stick her in jail and take her away from her home. 😭
in reply to Frank

Meanwhile the babies are following robovac around and exploring usually forbidden, supervisor, zones.
in reply to Frank

Just talked to the vet. Bloodwork is all fine, yay! They knocked her out and discovered she is missing EIGHT(!) teeth, some of which still have the root in her head. She chews more on her right side than left. Minor gum disease. Mouth cleaned thoroughly so should be fine with no pain meds or ABs afterwards.

OMG EIGHT TEETH! This must have happened before she joined us. She's a rescue who was seized from an abusive home. She was tiny and the size of an 8 month old at 2 years then.

in reply to Frank

She put on weight and grew with me due to getting regular, healthy meals and lots of love and exercise.

That poor baby!

Thankfully, doesn't need any more teeth extracted. I'll take her back in a few weeks for a follow up check up just to ensure all is well.

She's recovering well, they'll let me know when it's ok to pick her up this afternoon.

in reply to Frank

When the Supervisor's away, the kittens will play,.
in reply to Frank

Someone's getting mighty casual around here, lounging on Supervisor's rug.

Supervisor is recovering well, we'll send the limo for her in a few hours.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor is home, and is under my bed. Still feeling the after effects of a big day, my poor girl.
in reply to Frank

I went out to water the plants, came back and she's out! So have given her some dinner, she's hungry. Cuddling will come later, once she settles down.
in reply to Frank

Reclaiming her rug, she's a little purry but mostly still a bit zonked out. Is now cleaning her paws.
in reply to Frank

You see what's going on here, the adorableness?

My little tabby friend has been booked in for neutering next Wednesday. Then they'll be part of the shaved paw club.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor still has widely dilated eyes, likes staring unblinkingly out the window into the night, belly rubs and some brushing. Isn't her usual chatty self, probably has a sore throat from the tube so not feeling it today.

Kittens have realised she's back and are wandering in and out of the bathroom carefully, to see what she'll do. So far just stare.

in reply to Frank

Another quiet night! Supervisor stuck to the bed and laying with me or cuddling with me, all night long. She's on a biccie free weekend to let her mouth recover. Still a bit croaky, it's weird having her be so quiet as she has many opinions.

Kittens thought they'd take the oppo to drag their paper and toys all over the place so the kitchen was chaos first thing.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor caught drinking kitten milk, but it's ok, I was going to give her some anyway.
in reply to Frank

Supervisor has tried attacking the babies a couple times today, lurking in doorways to block them and just charging them angrily at one stage. Babies bounce back thankfully, are currently chasing each other around madly.

Supervisor watching them from afar, tail twitching.

in reply to Frank

Minor stinkbomb deployed! Either my nose is getting used to it or their tummies are settling and handling food better.

Supervisor is in a silly mood. Hid inside a bag and jumped out to grab my leg as I went by. If only she'd play with the babies, they'd have a ball.

in reply to Frank

Much silliness going on, chasing balls, toys, each other...
in reply to Frank

Fed everyone and went swimming. Just got home to find Supervisor in Narnia and the kittens galloping around as usual.

I did stop by the supermarket to get some more kitten milk and found loose sachets of their food on sale for a buck each so grabbed what stock they had. Cheaper than buying it by the box!

We have also discovered the kittens LOVE cat treats, so I grabbed another flavour for them to try. Truly, such a life of suffering here for them.

in reply to Frank

You know, if you stuff a tabby kitten inside your jumper, she'll just lie there for a while and purr.

Her brother was a bit more confused by the experience.

in reply to Frank

Kittens are in full gallop mode post dinner, running around and crashing in and out of tunnels.

Supervisor has a waggling tail, not sure what to make of this. Has been told to watch from afar.

in reply to Frank

Last night, as we were going to bed, the babies were doing their usual wrestling. He was standing over her, who was lying down, and he was pushing her across the floor like a broom, for a few metres. Just another evening of kitten madness.
in reply to Frank

Babies managed to get the cover off the drain in the laundry this morning. I caught my lad here sticking his head down the pipe. There'll be no plumbing incidents today, young man!
in reply to Frank

The sun is on the cat palace so she got in there to lounge around and goof off, but he wasn't interested.

in reply to Frank

All kitties get to fast tonight, and my little tabby friend is off to the doc tomorrow to get fixed. She is not at all going to enjoy fasting as she is very devoted to eating. No doubt will give me the kitten cry that breaks your heart as I pop her into the carry cage in the morning.

Right now Supervisor's been hanging around near then and no growling, hissing or charging has happened. Which is excellent! And the kittens are playing chasey with each other.

in reply to Frank

😭 Had to put my little friend in the carry cage this morning and now her brother is noisily trashing some paper trying to get her to come play with him.

These babies, my god. 😭

in reply to Frank

My friend is now at the vet, waiting her turn for a quick snip. She'll be home again this afternoon some time.

Meanwhile her brother is attempting to meow as he looks for her.

in reply to Frank

Just got the call from the vet; she is all well, everyone loves her and gives her cuddles. Pick up at 4!

Meanwhile her brother started crying before, needed my lap for reassurance and cuddles for an hour or so.

in reply to Frank

Here she is, home again, and being hissed at by her brother who's missed her all day long but now has lost his mind again, temporarily I hope.

I tried the cone of shame on her but she barely moved so am trying without.

in reply to Frank

Unlike her brother who seethed after surgery, she was just shy and a bit scared. Had some chicken there but was dying for some dinner when I got her home.

Now the two of them are following each other around and around and hissing at each other. Idiots.

in reply to Frank

He's still in grumpy mode, she just wants to play. So she's been playing with me and he's been lurking nearby, hissing occasionally. They still go to the loo and watch each other, it's just a lot of hissing going on. 🤦‍♂️
in reply to Frank

Well after a quiet night he's still hissing at her but less than before. Silly bugger. I've told him to knock it off, Supervisor will only take advantage of it.
in reply to Frank

He's airing out his bits as usual and she's being adorable.
in reply to Frank

It took 24 hours or so but the babies have made up and are BFFs again. Silly buggers. Back to playing and poking each other.

Supervisor watches from afar with confusion.

in reply to Frank

Kittens are back to sprinting around like maniacs, play fighting and melodramatic falls, chasing each other and knocking toy balls all over the place.

Just another Thursday night here.

in reply to Frank

Glad to report the babies are fully back to being BFFs again and are currently chasing each other around like maniacs again. And have left me dual stinkbombs, which is nice of them.

My little black lad just knocked a litter tray over playing with his sister, and hid under a table as I cleaned it up. 😀

Got a great parcel from Aliexpress today, 20 odd toy mice and some catnip fish for $20! They're all working their way through, Supevisor gets them as well.

in reply to Frank

It's morning again and I swear there's like ten kittens at mealtime, swirling around my feet. He always stays at a slight distance, convinced I am about to catch him, and she does circle work around and under my feet as I try to put the bowls down.

Supervisor lurks nearby, trying to get kitten milk.

Babies have flung toys and paper all over the place in the night. One poltergeist turned on a desk lamp at 2:30am. Babies currently chasing each other around the furniture.

in reply to Frank

Picked up some other treats at Aldi. Kittens LOVE them and have learned to come running for them.

Supervisor staring, what is going on?

I give her one, she sniffs and looks at me like I am completely deranged and walks off.

Kitten swoops in and eats it.

in reply to Frank

Sit in a reclining chair and my little tabby friend climbs into my lap and flops down purring. And purring. And purring some more....and we both eventually fall asleep to her purring.
in reply to Frank

There has been a lot of stampeding up and down stairs today as the kittens are getting used to the concept of stairs. Soon the toys will get tossed down it. Question is whether they'll bring them back up like Supervisor does sometimes.
in reply to Frank

Sunday morning and the kittens have the mad zoomies going on. This means launching off mats and tearing down the stairs, chasing each other around.

Supervisor watches from the safety of my desk, bemused. She still charges at them a bit but I think she's resigned to them being around, now. Hopefully. She sleeps with us, they sleep on chairs or cat beds or goodness knows.

I am tipping once it gets colder they try sleeping with us.

in reply to Frank

He was in my lap having belly rubs, when his sister came over and lay in the catbed. So he ditched me so they could have another round of kitten brawls.
in reply to Frank

Introduced the babies to the steam mop as the floor was very overdue a clean. Covered in tiny paw prints, oddly enough.

Had to pick up a few toys before I got the mop out.

Babies were pretty good about the mop, unlike Supervisor who has to go hide from The Evil.

in reply to Frank

I think the kittens thought they were in trouble, as I had picked up all their toys and moved stuff and cleaned. So they wouldn't touch their dinner and sat there. I grabbed some toys and tossed them at them and all was well again. Dinner eaten, toys being played with.
in reply to Frank

Babies were lurking under the stairs so I went down there and offered them some treats. They've come up here thinking there's now a steady supply when I was just checking on them to make sure they were ok under there.

Weirdly they don't go into the room they spent weeks in, or the bathroom they were in, at all. Doors are open, but they don't go in there. Right now are fine with going up and down the stairs and under the stairs.

in reply to Frank

Nothing quite like having a kitten purring on your lap
in reply to Frank

Kittens are opting for endless brawling this morning. This involves lots of paper being thrown all over, leaping on and off furniture, crashing through paper that's been thrown all over and toys being flung to the side.

Just a Tuesday.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor's in a goofy mood, writhes around on a rug. Tabby thinks yay playtime and runs over. Supervisor gets up hissing and charges at her, paws waving. Little tabby flattens out, ears flat, paws waving back.

We both yell at Supervisor. She chases tabby under furniture before finally backing off. 🤦‍♂️

in reply to Frank

I baked another loaf of beer bread today, and sat down to try out a crust. Turned out very nice, chewy crust, got onion and chives in it.

Tabby jumps up on the stool beside me, wants to check what I'm eating. Supervisor has no interest in human food so it's been a while since I've had a kitty check out what I'm eating. I take a tiny bit and put it on the stool and tabby scarfs it down. Another bit, all gone, and another? All gone. Huh, she likes my bread. Brother so far not interested.

in reply to Frank

We have had playtime with the babies and the babies have been having playtime on their own this evening. Supervisor has been caught lurking near doorways more than once, and told to stop trying to trap a kitten.
in reply to Frank

This one drools from purring when you give her lots of pats and scritches
in reply to Frank

A fly came in earlier and the kittens were chasing it down. Supervisor thought this meant she should chase my dark lad around as well, which was not correct.

Fly has vanished, those kittens are quick.

in reply to Frank

I get up this morning, feed all the beasties and go make myself brekky. Hear someone digging in the litter....digging, digging. It keeps going on. I go in there and discover my young dark friend has gotten into the bag of litter and is having a dance party in there as his sister watches from close by.

Geddouutttaatherrreee you little monkey!

I then spend ten mins sweeping up litter strewn everywhere and put the litter bag out of reach of this comedian.

in reply to Frank

You can't sleep in around here, even on a long weekend, as Supervisor will literally climb on my head demanding brekky. And the babies are already scampering around by 5:30am.

I found a heap of their toys under the paper last night and chucked them on the floor so by this morning those were everywhere, along with a draft stopper, my swimming bag and their tunnel. They were busy last night. They've eaten most of their brekky already and are back to scampering and chasing each other.

in reply to Frank

The kittens were chirruping (they are slowly making more noises now) so I went over to see if they wanted me for playtime. Nah, too busy chasing each other around and chewing on each other's heads.

I know when I'm not necessary.

in reply to Frank

I grab Supervisor's litter tray to clean it out and bring it to the laundry. Go into the laundry to get the bag, come out and find two kittens leaning into said tray, sniffing used litter with deep interest. 🤦‍♂️
in reply to Frank

Post playtime this morning. Found her lounging about, then tracked him to a cat bed. She then had to join him in the cat bed.
in reply to Frank

He was in a cuddly mood so got lots of belly scritches and pats

in reply to Frank

Fired up the vacuum cleaner. Supervisor took off for her safe spot away from The Evil. Kittens left looking around, confused, at her reaction. They are so blasé about machinery noise. The robovac bumped into him this morning and he barely moved to let it go by. If only the Supervisor was like this around the vacuum cleaner. Wonder if this comes from their life living outside near cars and road noise.
in reply to Frank

The babies have reorganised the tunnels. He's currently in the blue one.
in reply to Frank

The kittens spent the mid morning sprinting from their play area through the bathroom and into the bedroom, skid stopping and sprinting off again, repeatedly. Their Supervisor sat up with astonishment watching it all. Then sat on the bed looking down at them, appalled at all this cheek.

Kittens now having well earned siesta.

in reply to Frank

Went to check on them, found them both in Narnia, cuddled up and sleeping,

Supervisor will NOT be amused they've found her snuggle spot.

in reply to Frank

The babies spent the afternoon in Narnia! There was a nice sunny spot on the couch so Supervisor was on that and didn't realise.

She is now reclaiming her spots and just chased the kittens away from one of them 🙄

in reply to Frank

And we are now back to the mad zoomies in and out of the bathroom.
in reply to Frank

First time commenting, but I've been following your posts about the babies since January and get much joy from reading about and watching their shenanigans. Thanks for posting. :ablobcatheart:

@kodiacbear No worries! We're just watching them sprint through the bathroom and slide under our bed right now. Soon enough they'll figure out jumping up on the bed and then there'll be a brawl with Supervisor 😀 probably at 3am on top of us.
in reply to Frank

He was in here too with her but ran off when I went to take a photo
in reply to Frank

I have had to bag up my pot plants because the babies are obsessed with trying to dig in them or pull leaves off them. Hopefully a tall bag works.
in reply to Frank

Could you just leave it alone maybe? Cheeky buggers 😀

Kittens and Supervisor have had a few more dustups. Supervisor was disgusted to find a kitten in her office/dining room both last night and this morning. Hisses were exchanged.

I went for a walk, came back to find kittens clowning about, not worried about Supervisor.

in reply to Frank

On guard for kitten invasion. Those whipper snappers were in here again this morning.
in reply to Frank

Just because it's gotten dark and rainy does not mean that 3:15pm is now dinnertime. For any of you.
in reply to Frank

Fed the monkeys. This has revitalised them and now it's playtime.

Then I head a crash.

Ah yes, pot plant in bag knocked over 🤦‍♂️ Plant now locked away for its own safety.

The kittens went into a tunnel for their afternoon nap.

in reply to Frank

Went swimming. Got home and put down swimming bag. Kittens immediately start writhing in ecstasy on it due to chlorine. I go in bathroom and wonder why there's dirt in there. Then go into Supervisor's office and discover my young lad decided to dig up a pot plant whilst I was out. Dirt everywhere

Someone found the throw Supervisor stole off me, and decided to relax in it.
in reply to Frank

The babies are getting very cheeky with their roamings around, taking over the office to sit in the windowsills or on the couch. It's also where I currently feed Supervisor. I caught little tabby trying to eat her dinner last night and I am pretty sure they finished off her brekky this morning whilst I was at the pool 🤦‍♂️ Supervisor's had extra brekky to make up for it and is currently in there in a sunny spot with her eyes tightly closed, ignoring kitten incursions.
in reply to Frank

Going to lay in the sunshine and be ladylike. What kittens.
in reply to Frank

👀 just walked into office to find all three in there, no fighting. Just sitting in sunshine. This will never last.
in reply to Frank

Supervisor did not approve, there was hissing and then she left. At least there was no punch up.
in reply to Frank

Just had to stand guard whilst Supervisor ate her dinner and keep out a kitten onslaught who really, really want to be in that room.

They want those windows, chair and couch goddammit.

in reply to Frank

I've managed to catch both babies and give them both a claw trim of the front claws this week, for the first time. She was very good, mostly confused. He wriggled a lot but got the shivs shortened a bit. Both had long claws up front, and were getting stuck in fabrics. Compared to the first time I did Supervisor, who just gave me a shocked face and dead weight, was pretty good!
in reply to Frank

I wonder if just locking them in the bathroom for a day will help them bond ... Then again

in reply to Melissa BearTrix

@MelissaBearTrix they are both obsessed with litter trays. When one goes, the other stays outside and checks on things. All the time. I can hear a tray being dug right now, they'll be tag teaming it.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor has some brekky under supervision from kittens keen on nicking her brekky
in reply to Frank

Dinner time. Supervisor is having a CBF time with hers and it's rubbed off on the kittens who haven't eaten much of theirs yet.

Kittens now using this opportunity to sprint around and up and over things, and very quickly past Supervisor who is spinning around trying to catch at least one for a smack. I hope this all calms down soon.

*sound of pounding paws in background*

in reply to Frank

Just caught that naughty lad trying to get at my poor pot plant TWICE. What is that obsession about. 🤦‍♂️ I am running out of places to hide them.

Everyone got dinner. Now the kittens are revved up and doing mad sprints around the place. Think they just dropped some toys down the stairs then ran off.

Supervisor is unamused. She spent her day recharging her solar batteries in the sunshine on my bed.

in reply to Frank

I went to the Asian grocer today to get some more dim sims, and picked up some Asian chip packs. Opened one tonight and was instantly surrounded by a swirl of kittens, convinced I had a bag of kitten snacks with me. 😀 They licked a bit of prawn cracker but it wasn't what they were after so they got some kitten snacks, liver treats. My Supervisor is not interested in snacks, she finds these kittens quite odd.
in reply to Frank

Just heard hissing, walked into office to find Supervisor in her litter tray trying to use the facilities in peace. And tabby standing on top, trying to peer in and inspect what is going on. This did not go down well.
in reply to Frank

A calm but tense moment as these three watch each other carefully.
in reply to Frank

There's a fair bit of following each other around then chasing each other off this morning. I am hoping this is the beginnings of play between the kittens and my supervisor.
in reply to Frank

Mid morning, sun was in the office and I sat in there to watch. Kittens were feeling frisky and were battling each other on the chair. Below them lay Supervisor, in the sun. And little boy decided to try get her to play with him, dangling off the side of the chair and trying to poke at her in a playful way. She looked up at him and just watched, didn't join in. But wasn't aggressive either. I'll take it.
in reply to Frank

So we're settling into a regime where Supervisor gets brekky first, and then the kittens get theirs. They hoover down around half their food then try to take Supervisor's food. So you have stand guard whilst she's having her first round and put the bowl way up high until she wants some more.

Kittens are still on 3 meals for the two, for brekky and dinner, plus milk and occasional treats. They are always starving too 😀 Supervisor is still chasing them occasionally but way less rage involved.

in reply to Frank

Right now the kittens are in the washing machine box brawling with each other, and Supervisor is on my bed soaking up morning sunshine.

I've been swimming, so Supervisor had to rub my chlorinated shoes when I got home, and tabby licked my hands. Surprisingly he hasn't been writhing all over my swimming bag this morning, chlorine really makes them all a bit crazy.

Wait, they're out of the box and attacking the cat post. Just another Monday.

in reply to Frank

Kittens just dropped a ping pong ball down the stairs and are peering over the side in confusion. "How did that happen?"

in reply to Frank

They love sitting on my office chair lately. Which does mean needing to defluff it before sitting in it or you get a furry butt.
in reply to Frank

It's been super windy yesterday and last night and now today here in Melbourne. The kittens have had the mad zoomies because of it, galloping around and chasing each since before brekky,. This has set Supervisor off as she's more tempted to chase them for their crazies. Lot of sprinting about and some hissing happening.
in reply to Frank

The babies are spending the day sleeping in the washing machine box. As opposed to all the cat beds, chairs and couches....
in reply to Frank

The babies were adorably entwined with each other, asleep on the couch. Until I went into the pantry and they came galloping over, convinced I was going to give them some kitten treats 😀 When I said no treats (they got some earlier today) they finished off Supervisor's leftovers from dinner instead.
in reply to Frank

Post dinner, it's snuggling time.

I am making a spud and tuna bake for dinner, so I drained a can of tuna and oil into a bowl and offered it to the kittens. Greatest thing they've ever drunk, they tell me by those bright eyes and lip-smacking mouths.

in reply to Frank

There is a lot of galloping going on right now. And toys being tossed about.
in reply to Frank

The galloping loosened up things, and then a stinkbomb was gifted upon the world.

This is why I now order litter by the 90l deliveries.

in reply to Frank

The babies decided that 5am was the appropriate time to start booting balls with bells around and galloping from end to end. Which is fair, we're selfishly sleeping when we could be feeding them.
in reply to Frank

Dinner time is almost here and my little lad here is having mad zoomies and sprinting from one end to the other. Now I hear thunking noises in one room, he may be beating up a box.
in reply to Frank

I tried to show little tabby how to use the cat flap in the laundry door earlier but she just got scared and hid in a corner 🙁 This one might take a while.

@bastardsheep Supervisor will tolerate things for a while then chase and poke a kitten or hiss at them. But is less violent towards them at least.
in reply to Frank

Everyone got dinner, then Supervisor wanted to be brushed. Ok, deal, she's on the footstool and getting a dose of crack, her favourite. Everyone happy.

Then my little lad walks by and Supervisor dives off the footstool to chase him. 🤦‍♂️ Just when you start to hope things are getting better.

Kittens are now in the office, in the windowsill watching the world go by. Supervisor is on her rug, guarding her snuggle.

in reply to Frank

Kittens were obsessing about the floor behind a box so I went to investigate and found a silverfish. Silverfish banished but kittens don't believe me and are still hunting for their prey.
in reply to Frank

Clean out the litter trays, starting with Supervisor's one. Kittens immediately use the clean tray, Supervisor loudly complains to us about it 😀

Kittens were dying of starvation* so they got some snackies. Now they're convinced I am about to give them some more and keep following me around.

I too would be interested in these snackies, should some be available.

Got home from the pool, had a shower and came out to discover the kittens and Supervisor writhing around rubbing my swimming stuff. Mmmm chlorine. Delicious.
in reply to Frank

in reply to Frank

Little tabby just gifted us with an incredibly stinky stinkbomb, in Supervisor's litter tray! The rudeness!
in reply to Frank

Steam mopped the paw prints today. Supervisor is still mad at me for bringing out The Evil Machine. Kittens are still very blasé about it and followed it around. They're now having mad gallops.
in reply to Frank

Supervisor just did a drive-by. Ran up, bopped tabby on the head and ran off. Not viciously at least.

Just got back from swimming. Supervisor was waiting for me on the stairs. The kittens were too busy chewing each other's heads to say hello. I had a shower, they then rubbed my delicious smelling swimming bag for a while.
in reply to Frank

You too can have a little tabby kitten just floop on your lap and want cuddles.
in reply to Frank

Now kids, it's not nice to lay a stinkbomb so early in the morning.
in reply to Frank

Perving on the neighbours is a national pastime around here.
in reply to Frank

Supervisor just came charging up to break up the fun and now we have a standoff.
in reply to Frank

Kittens have been scampering around the place like their usual maniac selves. Even Supervisor sort of joined in a bit. I went swimming first thing and stopped by Woolies on the way home to get some kitten food on special this week.

They've currently all gone off for a rest now, and are probably plotting more shenanigans.

in reply to Frank

If you work very hard, one day you might too be covered in kittens.
in reply to Frank

*Alarm goes off at 6am*

Me - ahh I am going to go back to sleep and get up at 7, it's Saturday.

Kittens - WE SHALL GALLOP FROM END TO END, CRASHING THROUGH THAT BOX AND THOSE PAPERS OVER AND OVER!

Me - 🤦‍♂️

in reply to Frank

My dark friend is an excellent bowl cleaner and always finishes off Supervisor's leftovers very efficiently.

How does one teeny tabby kitten do such big, smelly, poops.

Got home from the pool to find the babies on the couch wanting belly rubs. Some sun is coming into the front rooms, so they can recharge their solar batteries, even if it it still 10c here.

Tabby gifted me a stinkbomb in the downstairs tray whilst I was showering off the chlorine, which was kind of her.

in reply to Frank

The babies have been wearing themselves out tonight sprinting around chasing the laser light. Supervisor is bemused by this and has come to watch it all.
in reply to Frank

Kittens are scampering around, Supervisor is watching from nearby. They do spend more time closer to each other now, less hissing and some sort of play happening. Well, less violence. Hard to say what it is but it's definitely mellowed out a bit from several weeks back.
in reply to Frank

As you can see, the staff are hard at work today.
in reply to Frank

my older cat automatically learned to play fetch as a kitten, and when I got him a kitten he spent a year teaching him fetch. So I have 2 cats that like to play fetch.

Sometimes one of them will bring me a toy, and I’ll throw the toy across the room, and then they’ll look at me like I just committed murder.

in reply to Gilly Gunson

@giflian Supervisor likes tossing toys downstairs and bringing them back up. She hasn't demonstrated this to the kittens yet for them to learn about it. They do run around with some toys in their mouths but the ping pong balls are too smooth for that.

I had two kitties years ago who I taught to bring back toys. Shall see if these two can learn it!

in reply to Frank

I can't believe the trunk around with them ... Especially him ... Hugz ... And the supervisor is getting a bit better too ... Hugz ... And thank you for all the pictures ... 💋

in reply to Melissa BearTrix

@MelissaBearTrix look how big they're getting! Definitely happy, healthy babies here. Supervisor is getting better, still hisses but is slowly improving with them.

I told a friend about your adventure with the kittens ... They said you're a saint ... I second that ... Hugz

It is solar recharging time
in reply to Frank

Got home from the pool, tabby licked my hands and arms, my dark pal needed a tummy rub. Supervisor decided to chase invisible toys around and be silly. It's that kind of morning.
in reply to Frank

Babies needed some me time today, for cuddles and a warm lap.

Middle of the day, lower and middle management are attending to important tasks.
in reply to Frank

Someone's using Supervisor's couch, and Supervisor is just watching, not getting mad about it.
in reply to Frank

The kittens have the mad gallops going on. Supervisor has chased them around a few times but so far just to swat occasionally. She was very affronted when he got up on the desk to assist with cleaning her (now empty) bowl.

Babies have just gifted me with a stinkbomb. Hoping some probiotics I've ordered turn up soon and hoping they help reduce or eliminate the smell soon.

in reply to Frank

Rest time after sprinting around after a laser dot
in reply to Frank

So I get home from swimming and get licked as usual by my tabby mate. Mmm chlorine. I had to nip to my doctor for a script this morning so I've been out. Get home and go to grab lunch and what do I hear but my little dark mate and his tiny squeaks, looking for me. Tail up, all excited that I'm back. He's still a shy boy and unless he's feeling like a belly rub, still runs off on me. So lovely to see him feeling happy I am back.
in reply to Frank

Kittens are discovering that cooler weather means hoodies and hoodies means inbuilt cat toys aka strings. This is good news.

Supervisor is in a silly mood, can't tell if she wants to play with the kittens or not, and neither can they. We're all just confused, looking at Supervisor for clues.

in reply to Frank

Shirt is now on the floor. Kittens are looking down at it, perplexed. No idea how this could have happened.
in reply to Frank

A brief rest break and then back at it, playing with a shirt.
in reply to Frank

I nipped to Aldi this morning for some groceries, came home, put those away then nipped off to Woolies for some more kitten food on special. Got back to find little tabby had nicked into the pantry behind me and was stuck in there whilst I was out. And was just silently waiting, no crying. Which is a worry, these kids are so quiet still, if they are trapped they won't tell me to let me know where they are.
in reply to Frank

A friend of mine dropped in today so I brought them upstairs to see what the kittens would do. Supervisor came over to say hi, as she is also the security and receptionist and has to check out all visitors.

Kittens ran for it, in a panic. Hid in Narnia until after the guest had long gone, and I had to lure them out with treats. They're still jumpy. Before they found us, all humans were scary and clearly everyone else still is.

in reply to Frank

Babies have fully settled down again now. We've had cuddle time and some more treats and their nervousness has vanished. Hopefully Supervisor's boldness with visitors rubs off on them over time.

Kittens play in a shirt, Supervisor watches, intrigued.
in reply to Frank

Get back from the pool, Supervisor would like more of her brekky. It gets put away between bouts of eating, or the kittens will eat it.

My dark friend here is lurking nearby, eager to clean out the scraps.

in reply to Frank

Supervisor has poked the babies several times already. They were lurking too close to her brekky. But not maliciously. It's very windy, and this might bring out the kitty crazies today, for all of them.
in reply to Frank

I nipped to Kmart earlier to get some more pooper scoopers (way cheaper than at Woolies) and picked up a cardboard scratching bed for the zoo. Looks like someone likes it.

in reply to Frank

It seems Supervisor missed out on a chunk of her brekky, as the kittens swooped on the bowl whilst I was out and my partner blinked. Supervisor just got second breakfast to make up for it.

Kittens still have some brekky in their own bowls but the grass is always greener huh.

in reply to Frank

The babies are spending the morning sleeping amongst some car parts under the stairs. The parts are wrapped in bedding to keep them safe, so the kittens snuggle in there and snooze for hours. Smart.
