playing D&D with a kitten allows for inventive new house rules.

Coop has 20+ of his favorite toy mouse hidden all over my house, I think we might have to move the couch soon and see how many we can rescue.

As far as i remember that would be the wrong question to ask.๐Ÿค”

It's more like:
What is it like to be accepted as a carer for/by a cat? ๐Ÿ˜ผ

I wonder what "hoarding" like this looks like in wild cats? Do they have any similar behavior?

Pica has a collection of milk ties, plastic caps, hair ties, play mice and springs. She keeps it under the couch next to the computer she uses for her bitcoin and NFT scams.

@futurebird I will have to ask the Spooky Kitties Feral's in spring. While I suspect any primary horde they might have is in someone else's yard, I do have a nice centralized storage box ready for a winter kitties dragon horde. I do also support a rather large population of hoarding magpies and VERY innocent raccoons, so we shall see.

@jared
Pica has some raccoons in her internet crime syndicate... just sayin.

@jared
But looking at this photo? How could this creature do any crime? Impossible.
in reply to myrmepropagandist

@futurebird well, my neighborhood raccoons certainly have NEVER tried to steal the feral's cat bowls the first day I got them, and certainly never tried to break into my window.
in reply to myrmepropagandist

@futurebird indeed. They are most of the reason I have a strict rule for myself that I must have explicit permission from someone else to feed non-cats. Especially the 7 in my neighborhood. 5 of them were born in my backyard this summer. Watched them grow up. Watched them sneak out of their hiding spot while their mommy was away during the day. Played with the laser pointer with them. Stared into those wonderful, banditry innocent eyes.

@jared
It's really better for them if they are scared of people if they live in NYC at least.

But they are very cute.

this reminds me of the Steve Martin bit about his embezzling cat and the โ€œThree thousand dollars worth of cat toysโ€ under the couch ๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜น
