1. Click on the name of the account or channel that made the video. This will take you to their profile page.
2. On the profile page, click ⧉. This copies its Fediverse address.
3. Paste the Fediverse address into the search box in Mastodon etc. This makes the profile appear within Mastodon and you can just click "Follow".

BTW do you know if there is a way to save/subscribe to a Peertube playlist (not a specific film in the playlist) in Peertube? Or view a playlist-only page (without it loading a specific video)?

in reply to klu9 • • •No, unfortunately as far as I know there's no way to follow playlists. People who create playlists can view playlist-only but the viewer's version always shows the first video in the list.
It's a good idea though, other people have asked this too.
I couldn't find an existing issue for it so I've opened a new one on the PeerTube Github at github.com/Chocobozzz/PeerTube…

Chocobozzz (the creator of PeerTube) replied that they can't currently do playlist following due to the nature of the protocol by which servers communicate, but they might be able to allow PeerTube accounts to boost videos by other PeerTube accounts. You could then follow the account, and the account could boost videos as they add them to playlists.
(This hasn't been implemented yet though 🙂 )
