Is there a tool like 'ls' to recursively list all files and folders INCLUDING the files and folders within compressed (zip, cab, tar, rar, all, any) archives BUT WITHOUT actually decompressing those archives?
MyDir
+ MyFile
+ MyCompressedArchive
+ + MyFileInsideCompressedArchive
+ + MyFolderInsideCompressedFolder
+ + + MyFileInsdeCompressedFolder
I would like to list all of the previous with path included. Is scripting the only option?

I have 90% of a solution worked out in a python script...
Now I only need to find the time to work out the other 180% of the solution...

@hosford42 @oblomov I think that if there are modules that work similar to zipfile then I can do it.
This already covers like 85% of my use case. I will try other compression formats if it's feasible for me.
Otherwise... I'm not smart enough to come up with my own list-files-in-any-compressed-format algorithm π
