Unfortunately I made the mistake of tidying some of my partner's stuff while they were in the bathroom, so one box got anxiously unpacked and repacked with a bunch of stuff left out because "it needs to sit here!"

Yep. All the time. "No immediate use for this, out it goes" was the philosophy. I'd take it out, put it back where it belonged, and sometimes this process would repeat a few times, until they figured it out. I would have protested more loudly, but the lack overall of clutter actually made for a better space to live in, so it was a relatively small price to pay.

It's funny, but when I think of factory farms, I don't think of the people -- I use the term loosely -- who run them as "farmers". I just think of CEOs like the ones who've ruined my little world (biotech). To me, "farmer" conjures up the kids I went to school with and their parents, who actually dug in the dirt to grow food. Factory farms make me think of some slick bastard in a suit who's never had dirt under his carefully manicured nails.

It’s a game Israel’s legal system is still playing, so for the sake of claimed complementarity (implying independence of the the judicial system) there are some rules, which the international community sort of holds Israel accountable for and its reperesentaoves wave in international forums (ie ICJ), while current and previous coalition made it clear they don’t give a f about. Now that the U.S. lets Israel do whatever they want, and still get aid, it’s even less relevant. Israel’s courts are the main whitewashers of the occupation. It’s been shown over and over.
