I suppose if they're still doing it, someone must be falling for it. I can't imagine anyone continuing to run a phishing scam after it stops working.
I have mixed feelings about it.
On one hand, it hurts me thinking about anyone losing their money through a scam. (Goddess knows I've lost some myself through scams (though they were more sophisticated operations), but what is probably drops in the bucket compared to many suckers.)
On the other hand, as long as these low-hanging-scams keep hitting their ROIs, that's fewer groups working on more sophisticated grifts. And frankly, I don't really want to see what they can come up with if they really set their minds to it.
