There is also the Open Web Search account: @openwebsearcheu. While they are not a company, they are a coalition of European research and computing centers that promotes Europe's independence in web search. @Swisscows Is there any one other than Mojeek that is not relying on google or bing search engines anyways? I've read Qwant and Ecosia are doing sth togethet in that direction but I guess it's not going to be ready any soon?
Thanks. I'll start with Stract and if that won't work for whichever reason also try that other one using Brave engine that is (Brave) still US based but at least not a part of a broligarchy (I guess ??). Anyways I keep my fingers crossed for that Qwant / Ecosia EU search engine that seems to be in the making ...
Yes, Brave is US based and apparently not part of the current US broligarchy, "for now". They are more part of the US little tech versus US big tech, like DuckDuckGo.
Stract is quite new, it's a Danish young man who created it and put it in open source. It has potential, let's hope he succeeds!

oh, you mean finders of fact? We could train them to do this and devise some rules, so that errors are minimized and people are dealt with fairly. Of course, they'd have to be in a position to be immune to outer influences. So their pay better be good, and nobody should be able to fire them at will. We're onto something big here!

So, you might have heard and taken it for granted that a series circuit combining a resistor and a capacitor has the magnitude of impedance described by this formula:

Or, in the complex plane, you get Z = R + j * X. But... why, really?

Ed Zitron has pointed out that this headline is incorrect and the reality is so much worse: this guy has raised $2 billion in funding having made no promises to do anything at all.
I feel like we could crowdfund this and a bunch of us could agree to do nothing very hard for quite a lot less. Stretch goal - do nothing while lying down and sipping cocktails
This again proves that the millionaires and billionaires have no ideas anymore where to spend, invest or burn all the money other than throwing it around for some vague projects.
