The assistant took out all the bits she could find, so that's a plus. π She asked the GP to come check the bruised area, and both of them felt there was still a deep hematoma there, that was causing the pain and warmth of the skin. So it may take "some more time" before I'll be able to heal up properly. π But at least the bits of wire are out. π Hope you're not too sore from yesterday's adventure.
I hope you are a bit more comfortable with the sutures out at least. I'm not surprised at the deep hematoma considering the double surgery. I'm....not quite dead π
I wish I were more comfortable, I had a very rubbish night where I have been more awake than sleeping. I can recommend Syncthing for synchronizing files between your devices. 100% under your own control, no need for third party servers, or ever-changing terms of service. It's just software running on your stuff, managing your stuff.

Silicon Snake Oil. Cliff Stoll's second book, which says the Internet'll never amount to anything(!)
Modern rather than contemporaneous, but Brian Dear's The Friendly Orange Glow is a great look at the rise and fall of PLATO - a system we never got this side of the pond.
Steve Roberts' Computing Across America is really more of a travelogue, but by a guy who gave up everything he owned to travel the US on a custom-built "Winnebikeo" with a portable computer.
