There is no dumber #sport that's legal than #slapfighting because you're essentially speed running #braindamage from chronic, repeated head injuries.
If you know anything about #martialarts then you know they aren't really slaps either. They're wrist strikes most of the time, which can mess you up just as badly as a closed fist.
You're allowed to dodge in other #combat sports so they aren't AS bad.
Slap fighting is like tee-ball for fighting, and your face is the ball.

I've been struggling with my weight recently.
I'm at my all time heaviest of 290
I'm 6'1" so I wear it well but I'm starting to feel it when I breath with intention.
I want to lose weight but I have a trauma around being hungry I hadn't quite acknowledged until I started meditating.
For 4 months as my Crohns worsened during the initial stages of covid, I couldn't eat. I was starving every day only able to keep down the broth from ramen and maybe a quarter of the noodles.
To make things worse I obsessively watched food content and tortured myself daily by seeing all the food I can't eat.
So I used to joke that I was making up for lost meals.
Before crohns I weighed 245. After my first surgery to get an ileostemy I weighed 180. 65 pounds in 4 months. Then 4 months later my ileostemy was reverse and I weighed 270
I gained almost a hundred pounds in 4 months.
I'd like to go back to 240 but I think this will require as much mental conditioning as it will physical.
So anyways I'm going for a walk to meditate at a park 45 minutes away.

Tried to descale my espresso machine. Made it worse. Probably should have done a full translation of the instructions instead of getting the gist of it and saying "eh, close enough." Definitely have to take it apart and see what I can clean piece by piece now.
Upside: I think I needed to replace a seal somewhere anyway. While it's disassembled I can also incorporate a scale like I've been meaning to. Let's see if I can set up data logging. And water treatment; I definitely underestimated how hard the water is here. If I need to replace parts, I get to learn more things!
Downside: I REALLY hope there isn't any irreparable damage to the expensive bits. I know the boiler in my generation of Gaggia Classic is better than what they're producing now, so I really hope I can restore that fully.
Practical side: this is going to be a whole project and I'm not going to have espresso for weeks, am I?
I have lost two coffee machines trying their "descale" feature. Now I only fill with pure distilled water.
And I take a mineral supplement later to make up for the demineralization.
