I got a call from my financial advisor yesterday. He was attempting to to tell me my investments were doing OK even though I've taken a hit. When I asked him if I could live off them, he was puzzled. I told him I expected to lose SS and wanted to work with the worst case scenario. He tried to tell me I'd be fine and that SS would be there for me, but not likely for him (he's my son's age 42). People who should know better are still acting like these are normal times. Not looking forward to living in my car.
I read an interesting interpretation of what the goal is. To get Americans so disgusted with the SS administration that they welcome Social Security Advantage, a privately run SS payment system. Thereby moving trillions of dollars into the control of private financial services. The LSST will image the entire visible sky every 3-4 nights, allowing it to detect objects that change in brightness or position and to discover billions of new stars and galaxies.
By comparison, SPHEREx will take 6 months for a survey of the full sky, with spectra.

The notion that you get better life long immunity to diseases by catching them when young instead of via vaccination is scary…why do the likes of RFK Jr think there was a drive for vaccinations in the first place?
I have hearing loss due to my mum catching Rubella from a kid when she was pregnant with me…I later was vaccinated, but when it came to checking my immunity before I had IVF, I was suprised to hear I had none. GP said this is not unusual.
