There's this Rust library called Clap that is unbelievably powerful, but it has a downside, which is that it is unbelievably powerful. It is able to do so many things that figuring out how to do any one single thing becomes extremely difficult.
These two lines I wrote just now do something extremely sophisticated, they set off an entire range of behaviors, which clap interprets to the Nth degree of correctness. I am…uncertain how I wrote these two lines, exactly. Some form of divination I think

A profound comment on art imitating life. Earnie's sculpture of Burt can finally embody the truth of Bert, but only by destroying him.
It craves what he has even yet, even with his nose, it demands more. Next the hair, next the eyebrows, next the eyes.
What was once a man... dismantled in service of perfection of the artistic vision.
Earnie may be remembered for his sculpture, but who will remember the muse destroyed to make it?

The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.
This is one of those things where if the left had the capacity to practice messaging discipline and media coordination they could repeat everyday for the next two months with brutal consequences for the right-wing administration.
But this will be forgotten about by tomorrow

You mean my plan to take massive amounts of debt to my grave with me? Speaking totally seriously, I'm not sure but I'm optimistic, for certain definitions of the word "optimistic." I don't have kids, divorce would sever any bonds of indebtedness to my spouse I think, and provided no one claims me, I think it would be difficult to saddle anyone else with my debt, though I'm sure they'd try. I'm not totally sure, not being an accountant or lawyer, but I think there's a way to do it which would work even if it was more involved than simply cutting everyone else out of my will or whatever.
You'd be surprised how often you can get away without paying for things if you don't care about propriety or your credit score, honestly. If debt collectors are hounding you, they probably can't legally do much of anything beyond fuck with your credit score. They might take you to court, but they're probably not going to. You'd be surprised how often you can get away without paying for things if you don't care about propriety or your credit score, honestly. If debt collectors are hounding you, they probably can't legally do much of anything beyond fuck with your credit score. They might take you to court, but they're probably not going to. They just want easy money. Your debt probably got bought by them for pennies on the dollar and they'll settle for much less than you owe if you just tell them to get fucked with enough sincerity.
And as I'll be dead, providing again that no one comes forward to claim me, I'm not at all sure what lenders and creditors would be able to do. They could seize my assets to pay my debts, but that's if I have any assets to seize. Court costs are more trouble than they're worth to most lenders. If they've got no one to go after, and if they can't ruin a dead man's credit, they'll just have to sit and spin.
Again, not a lawyer or accountant, so please don't follow my example, which was slightly doom-y tongue in cheek. What will likely actually happen is that I'll get divorced so my spouse won't have to take on my medical debt, and then hopefully I'll die rather than lingering long enough to get collected on or kicked out of whatever place is caring for me at that point. I'm not particularly cheerful about this prospect, but I have friends who had to get divorced for insurance purposes recently, so it's a distinct possibility.
I have never cared what happened to my body after I die, but my spouse would be very upset if they didn't get a grave or ashes or something, so for their sake I hope I die last. That's a cheery thought. Sorry.
