I love this. Democracy Forward, one of the major legal forces using the courts to check Trump and his lackeys, is hiring lawyers formerly at CFPB and DoJ. These attorneys are experts on the laws Trump and the rest are violating - perfect litigators for the mission. democracyforward.org/updates/d… 1/

i don't think i'm usually on at the times you post and i don't know what i would even say to most of them

most times you say anything about yourself or what you're doing you're upset and i don't know you anywhere near enough to say anything about it (i wouldn't be good at that either way)

the few other stuff i see i usually feel like i'm missing context and if i do understand it i just don't have anything to add

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Yazoo Pumps project could reduce flooding in the Mississippi Delta.

But conservation groups say it would disrupt the area’s delicate hydrology, damaging 90,000 acres of forested wetlands at a time when federal wetland protections are fraying.

1. Last night when I took Penny outside before bedtime, I heard owls calling.

2. The kitchen work is done! (Except for replacing one faucet handle, which will happen when it arrives) I'm pretty happy with it.

3. More things are blooming--the iris I transplanted have popped open, the new ones are a little slower to bloom, but should be opening in the next day or two, and the pink dogwood and hawthorn are in that brief period where the blooming overlaps.

CalMatters: Judge restricts Border Patrol in California: ‘You just can’t walk up to people with brown skin’

"“You just can’t walk up to people with brown skin and say, ‘Give me your papers"

"“I think that it’s pretty clear that half of a century of really established law is being upheld. It’s unfortunate that this is a cause for celebration. It’s not legal to snatch people off the street for looking like farm workers or day laborers"

"After the January sweep, the man who led it, Chief Patrol Agent Gregory Bovino, said his agents specifically targeted people with criminal and immigration histories. However, a CalMatters investigation revealed that the Border Patrol had no criminal or immigration history on 77 of the 78 people it arrested."

@exador23 Now there needs to be education of population so they know what to do if stopped.
in reply to AI6YR Ben

Reporters might turn to the agent themselves because other news reporting that I’ve glanced up on suggest that some of them have criminal records. Where they had criminal records because the deal now is their criminal records are purged in exchange for working for ICE..

I don’t know if that past is now un recorded forever

in reply to AI6YR Ben

WRT "...It’s not legal to snatch people off the street for looking like farm workers or day laborers..."

Why would anyone assume that farm workers and day laborers are all darker complected?

When even those on the side if justice make those subconscious, or maybe conscious, assumptions we are in worse trouble than I thought.

Regardless of what the just says, ICE does that all the time.
