Elon Musk, amid a quickly escalating feud with President Trump, announces SpaceX will immediately begin decommissioning Dragon spacecraft, imperiling the administration’s ability to shuttle astronauts and cargo back between the ISS and Earth.

Cool, I was hoping for an excuse for FedGov to seize Space/X and Starlink assets on national security grounds.

The fact that this threat exists is the absolutely perfect example of why we shouldn't rely on SpaceX or any other private firm for this sort of thing... But *especially* SpaceX.

Hows that becoming utterly dependent on a private entity working for the government, anyways? Lets check in...

wow. Unbelievable. It’s almost like privatizing everything and leaving important things in the hands of a few people who use it to make profit is a bad idea and it can be exploited whenever it is advantageous for the money makers. 🤔 but Musk is a genius who can’t be replicated. He stole NASA’s designs that we wouldn’t fund publicly and blew them up until he made it work…while we cut NASA’s budget again. What a time to be alive. Someone call Nestle about solving the droughts!

Reminder:
White supremacists are like the Sith in that it ALWAYS ends with infighting. Always. You would be surprised at how many KKK members die at the hands of other KKK members.

It's almost like you shouldn't have a private venture doing that sort of thing...

This is like saying Tesla will discontinue the Model 3 to focus on Cybertruck.
Dragon is the one that works. It's the big one that's your passion project that's substandard.

I wonder what kind of person can wake up, look at their face in the mirror, then go work for SpaceX. That must be weird now.

Extortion & spite is the only method of negotiation these petty sociopaths know.

enabling administration to delegate to russia in exchange of a discount on sanctions ...

Oooh it's getting expensive now....

I wonder how Mein Fuehrer will deal with this

in reply to Steve Herman

Well, at least the Russian astronauts on the space station will have a way to get home. Putin must be laughing hysterically.
