There's a saying that bikes (or in this case trikes) deliver the freedom that cars promise, and these folks look like they are definitely discovering that.
Things like ebikes, trikes and cargo bikes, could all deliver such a revolution in car-free mobility for so many people who thought a car was their only option thanks to age, or needing to travel with kids, or whatever. Now we need the infrastructure to really let it happen.
@beecycling so many anti-bicycle people will be like "but what about the elderly with mobility issues" and I hate them so much because look at this! Bike lanes are so fucking good for elderly people with mobility issues because they can ride their e-bikes, e-trikes, mobility scooters, and powered wheelchairs down them.
@bunny_jane Funny how that's also the only time they express any concern for elderly and disabled people's needs. Rest of the time they're parking on pavements, or blocking dropped kerbs, or parking too close to a vehicle that needs room for a wheelchair ramp, or tooting their horn at some old person for taking "too long" to cross the road, or saying an old person shouldn't be driving any more at their age because they drive a bit slow.
