Did Trump just Photoshop some black letters onto a hand to make it seem like Kilmar is a gang member?

I am asking because Kilmar’s real tattoos follow the shape of his fingers, while the MS13 letters all face straight forward, as if they are placed on the photo by someone with really poor Photoshop skills. And also the MS13 letters are true black, while tattoos usually have a bluish tint — notice the color difference between the MS13 letters and his other tattoos.

They didn't even try to wrap the characters around the curvature of each finger or match the type color to other tattoos. For Trump's cult, however, it'll pass their lack of discernment.

Actually it seems to be the "translation" of the tattoos.
Below each tattoo you have the alt-text, and above you have the translation (Marijuana = M, Smiley = S, Cross = 1, Skull = 3???).
It's still complete bullshit, just, for once Trump is slightly more subtle than what we're used to.

@nobhillsal @MorganedeSiv If I'm reading it right, the supposed "translation" suggests that the cross and skull are masking the physical shape of the respective numbers.

It's dumb, but it's still not what @randahl presented it as, and I'm getting frustrated with his mis-framing of things.

@nobhillsal @MorganedeSiv What I do think is happening here is that someone made that picture to suggest the interpretation, and Trump is stupid enough to think it was a real picture exactly as shown.

I don’t think the overt M, S, 1, 3 characters are meant to be seen as being part of the tattoo. Rather, someone added them to indicate what each part of the tattoo means.
Marijuana -> M
Smile -> S
Cross -> 1
Skull -> 3
Note that the x’s for eyes in the smile probably mean death. I’m guessing the cross means 1 due to vertical similarity. I can’t read the word under the skull, so I’m not sure why it means 3. The thing that stands out to me are the 3 black spots representing eyes & nose.

All my tats are true black, but you have to specifically ask your artist for these sorts of carbon-based inks that aren't pigments and won't fade to a bluish/greenish tint.

A lot of late 90s "tribal" was done using such inks, which are uniquely unresponsive to laser treatment. You'd need a few rounds of treatment *and* a cover-up tat over the top. Marshall Mathers is one celebrity whose tats are all true black.

Not disagreeing with you here, just adding my knowledge to the discussion!

But you are still correct, this is an obvious Photoshop job. Be Interesting to get some experts on this sort of digital fakery to analyze the image, because there are usally artifacts that show up.

Oh, I should add that Trump's pic still looks like a bad Photoshop job regardless of my caveat! But that's mainly because the letters don't map to the contours of his fingers, not because of the black colour. 🤷‍♂️

everyone else has already said this, but the OP hasn't updated yet: given the words also added below tattoos, these are likely annotations rather than being intended to look like they're actually on the hand.

...and it's irrelevant, because even if he had a confession tattooed to his forehead, he'd still be legally entitled to due process.

I *think* this is them showing us they decoded the actual tattoos. The “MS13” is digitally added for reference. Of course they give no legend or key to the code to show how they arrived at this.

I mean, it’s the dumbest fucking thing I’ve ever seen but their supporters will see it as all the proof they need.

I don't think the typewritten letters are supposed to be the tattoos, they're supposed to explain to us that the cannabis leaf should be understood to be sooper sekrit code for M, the silly smiley face for S, the cross is supposedly a covered up 1, the skull a covered up 3.

None of which makes any sense, they want us to believe a dangerous gang would go for a cutesy smiley face as appropriately gangsta, when actual MS13 members go for a style less open to misinterpretation:

A person's back, entirely covered with tattoos "Mara salvatrucha" in Gothic script below the neck, an enormous "M S 13" in Gothic script covering the entire upper back, and two faces on the right shoulder blade

As several others have pointed out, the photo Trump is using to convince his audience has been posted to other social media sites. The black letters MS13 have been added to explain a theory, that the real tattoos on the hand have originally been meant to display MS13, but has since been modified.

Anyone actually arguing about the photo however, is distracted from method of kidnapping and the method of imprisonment.

If someone right wing is getting to argue it they have already won as to argue the evidence is to tacitly agree to everything else. It also is an energy suck. Laugh at them, call BS then move on and never look back. Have them chase you to argue it.

They labelled the inks, but it looks like they were at least two iterations of labels. One above the symbol with a character, and one below with a full text.
It was never intended to be realistic, so that only about 75% of Maggots will think it's true.

However, in a typical Maggot fashion, they went with a plan, but even though the facts changed half way, they still pushed the narrative because fuck you.

M = Marijuana (Ok, were listening)
S = Smiley (We're listening, works in Spanish too)
1 = Cross ( Oh we changing algorithm mid way, ok fine)
3 = Skull, What the fuck are you talking about you fascist Muppets? Now you just trying to shoehorn shit that ain't there. What, it's a code now? Three holes? There are 7, one, two, three, many, you fucking Nazi troglodyte.

Fake! The lettering is a different colour and shows no sign of distortion due to the shape of his knuckles. We only have Trump's word that it's even his hand.
