@Simon Ashcroft they put up signs. My mom did that for the goldfinches (special food for goldfinches!) and it worked.

I did see an odd account of someone asking some rather feisty bees to allow him to get past to take some rubbish to his bin, which they did, before returning to their business. It makes one wonder...

Again, smarter wildlife. Our deer do look both ways before crossing…sometimes.
