that's the essential imbalance in bigotry vs tolerance
the "special ability" of bigotry is aggression. the organizing principle is delight from bullying, sadism
it's debilitating and depressing to see but it's also a shallow and unfocused force
such that tolerance is slow to anger and acts carefully instead but when it gets a full head of steam going... oh boy
with an organizing principle of consent rather than force, once agreement is reached it's a fucking laser beam

How would he be so sure at this point?
The could both be involved in the same shady biz venture, have been witnesses to the same crime, etc.?
OFC, I'm not saying that this is the case, but I don't really conclusive evidence for that theory, even if that graph provides a "good" hypothesis for the motivation.

This killer probably expects at least a pardon, if not a medal from 45.

The information I've so far seen, does not provide any political affiliations. So, we don't know so far.
One thing is sure, though, the hit list is enormous (70) + it includes non-politicians.
So, anything is possible, still.
I do hope, though, that they were not political. That would tend to lead the US to(wards) the road of the mass assassinations of the 1920's Weimar Republic.
