Breaking hearts in Quakertown, Pennsylvania π
High school students were peacefully protesting when police allegedly escalated it after claiming snowballs were thrown. The chief in plainclothes put a teenage girl in a chokehold before others stepped in to protect her.
No child should face violence for demanding justice. βπ

I'm not sure what point involving the Democrats in this post, or the original post, has except to further confuse the two.

And yes, also I may have been drunk during at least some part of the conversation, I was enjoying a Saturday night when I started seeing the aggressive replies and don't feel like this is a conversation that's particularly productive sober or not. You have convinced me to like Democrats less though, so that's a thing.

in reply to abolition now • • •@benroyce
I feel like we encountered each other before and it ended up the same way - with me having more fact based reasons to not like the Dems because you attempt to support or defend them in illogical ways.
I've attached more details on why I think it's a better idea to say "this is bad, youth protesting is good and the police are being bad" instead of bringing the Dems into the conversation if we want to stop stuff like what was described in the OP from happening again. These are 2 of my first Google results from actual Democratic officials in Pennsylvania about police funding.

as i said time again the democrats suck
but anyone who spends the balance of their time attacking the dems is obviously a MAGA supporter
do you think you're hiding it very well?
abolition now
in reply to Ben Royce πΊπ¦ πΈπ© • • •@benroyce
Again, no. Check user name and profile picture or the content of my posts. I'm spending my time criticizing the various tentacles of the police state right now. I'm very bad at hiding anything and don't really try very much.
But like, when arguing I go to facts that support my argument and share them, so every time we interact I end up looking at ways the Dems suck - it's actually the most frequent time I am looking in that direction. Perhaps you should not try to defend them in ways that highlight their biggest vulnerabilities and flaws? If this is your pro-Dem strategy you have not learned much about communication in the modern era.

abolition now
in reply to Ben Royce πΊπ¦ πΈπ© • • •Yes, and if you think fascism is okay if someone on your side is doing it, you are also a fascist.
Speaking of agents provacateur, have you noticed how your way of addressing my initial comment addressed to a third party is kind of a set of leading questions? And the most logical way I can defend myself at this point would be to demonstrate all of the ways the Dems are tied up in the expansion of the police state.
If your goal is to harden my position and get more anti-Democrat materials onto the Internet, you're going about it perfectly. If your goal is anything else, you're kind of failing.

Dude, you haven't been paying attention at all. Definitely to me in this thread and maybe to the world around you at all.
I don't support MAGA. I don't support the extension of the police state by any party.
I think you are alienating potential allies with aggressive and over the top attacks, and you're at least as likely to be an agent provacateur attempting to make people dislike Dems as I am based on this thread.
Did you read the blog post I linked or were you too busy hating? Cuz like I went from 'this is bad branding & Dems should think about it' to 'I don't want to be affiliated in any way with any team you Ben Royce support' over the course of this discussion.
Hey maybe you are representing the Dems very accurately and you think this is how you change hearts and minds... I hope something eventually gets through to you, but if this hasn't worked I'm done trying to reach you and teach you.
Goodbye, peace out, and may love eventually enter your heart.

The comment was pointing out that the American people are doing little to save their democracy and, "any other country, "even" North Korea and China, would fight for their rights.

well then respect us in the usa who are going through this trauma, who need examples of police brutality broadcast as far as can be seen to help fight it

all you are doing is helping police brutality by hiding it. you are in the wrong here

The best assistance you can provide in a case like this is to hit that 'chief' really hard on his throat. He will be choking and probably need emergency 1st aid, but he won't do this again any time soon.
