If you cancel your subscription to the Washington Post and tell them it's because of Jeff Bezos refusing to publish any opinion that doesn't toe the conservative line, you'll get this reply:

@FediTips
So then if I post just the bare hostname, although client apps may change that into a link, the filter sees what was originally entered? And a filter including the https part would then let that domain name pass but catch all the shared links?
in reply to teledyn π“‚€

Yeah, for example a filter for "google.com" with whole word un-ticked would filter posts with google.com URLs in them.

You don't even have to write the whole domain, a partial match is enough, but this may also filter other domains by accident.

Or you could filter for a specific URL including https etc.

Google’s 10-year-old Chromecast is busted, but a fix is coming
The 2nd-gen Chromecast stopped working this week, but it's not over yet.

in reply to Ars Technica

The Chromecast Audio is a legend. Still using it in conjunction with a Google Home Mini to request YTM stations on a stereo system. And the unfortunate reality is that there is no affordable replacement.
in reply to Ars Technica

it would be a terrible waste if these stop working. There is too much electronics dumped all over the planet already. There's nothing wrong with the hardware.

To be clear, I’m not a nihilist. I have plenty of optimism for the future.

But it does not include saving a country that has dedicated its entire existence to the de-evolution of mankind so a handful of entitled pricks can control systems they have no idea even how to manage or use.

I’m off that train. I want to live, not conform to some bullshit set by people who hate themselves.

Hey George,

It would be great if you stopped the folks at comicsands from linking to twitter in the articles, as they show up as blank for everyone who has done the proper thing and blocked it on a DNS level.

screengrabs are fine if you need to show us a picture, but text copypasta works well.
