Likely nobody even my age remembers Wolverton Mountain even though it's been parodied out the wazzoo at the time, and most notably by El Clod's "Tijuana Border".

Taking second and third looks at #MeTV these days --every time I've flipped the channels this one's caught my eye and this time it's #WagonTrain and "The Horace Best Story" episode. The guy who was Festus in Gunsmoke here portrays a Native American entrepreneur who seeks a deal with the self-same Horace Best, portrayed by....WUT...WHO?? #GeorgeGobel of all people. On top of that, George is singing. Yow. "Go west with Horace Best". Yer dern tootin' I stayed tuned in to watch the rest of that. #KenCurtis MeTV is where I've been catching Alfred Hitchcock Presents, marginalia of which I recommend highly although Alfred doesn't hit it out of da park each time. When he does, tho, it's a doozy.
