What bewilders me is how people think I'm impervious to the losses we've suffered and will suffer.

That is irrelevant though.

DESPITE the losses, every win informs people. Discovery, rulings in courts inform people & make them aware when they may not be

Court transcripts inform & help take down fascism/fascists. Even when we lose cases

& all of it gives people reason to fight, protest, keep moving forward. Wins breed courage

THAT IS THE POINT. I wish others would see it.

I always forget that, and it is a great point. I might think why bother, but the discovery and having things on record is vitality important. I will try to change my perspective when I go down the easy, lazy way of thinking. Thanks for that reminder.

I think people are looking for & waiting for some big act- maybe we’re too accustomed to hearing that our vote will save us& we’re waiting for some One. Yet it’s possible we may not have a free & fair election- & if we don’t take every god damn opportunity to resist in where we buy stuff, in the streets, in the courts … etc etc
@emptywheel often reminds listeners to support the community- they’d love nothing more than to demoralize us.
