The GOP does not care about the Law or the Constitution. in fact, they want to destroy it. Look at how they continually thumb their noses at the Courts. They want a King that makes all decisions.

What’s worse than Trump trying to erase the 14th Amendment is the failure of immoral and unethical , right wing Supreme Court justices to admonish Trump’s clear interference and violation of Americans rights under the 14th Amendment. They have no legitimacy on the bench. Their actions are reminiscent of a dark time when immoral Supreme Court justices ruled in favor slavery and eugenics. Our society is not progressing. We are taking a step backwards.

Be helpful—particularly if 3rd terms actually are denied—if WH actions started to be tied not just to trump, but also to the #GOP POLITICAL PARTY.

It’s how this guy was enabled, and presumably how the next fascist will get on our ballots.

A: ZERO. "America" was not a country when they were born.

Martin van Buren has the distinction of being the first "American born" president.

The important word here is "person."

Not "citizen."

Born here makes you a citizen, but equal protection of the law is extended to "any person."

You need to read it again.

AMENDMENT XIV

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and
subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United
States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make
or enforce any law which shall abridge the privelegs or
immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state
deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due
process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction
the equal protection of the laws.


Especially the part that says:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and
subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United
States and of the state wherein they reside.

note: There is a an or in there and you do not have to be born in the United States to be a citizen.

No reason to be sorry, I just thought you were implying you had to be born in America to a citizen. If that is not what you meant then I apologize for the misunderstanding.
