From what I understand at this point, the biggest problem is the honeybee sector itself. They simply don’t get enough forage. And then they’re exposed to all sorts of pesticides, blah blah blah..

Farmers would be better off creating refugees and I think keeping their own bees. That would create a stable population.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell I believe a good deal of this is self-inflicted, due to mixing of a lot of commercial hives (esp. on almonds in California) -- superspreader event. Plus most commercial keepers really don't care about their bees. We see them take hives and leave farms mid-day, which is absolutely the wrong thing to do (half the bees or more are out foraging). You have to wait until night when they are home.

Fortunately honeybees aren't the only bees out there and I take good care of my local native bees, thank you very much.
