#Linux phones are an emerging alternative. The next phone I buy will be a Linux phone.

I have yet to do more research, but the Purism Librem 5 is the top contender right now. Convergence is the key, and this phone pretty much uses a standard #Debian

It would be great to have a phone that you could connect to peripherals ( display, keyboard, mouse, external storage etc. ) and have a full-fledged Debian environment.

@ashwin @nando161 Just so you know, there were big problems with the Librem 5 actually being delivered. A lot of people didn't get theirs. A few of my friends did the "try every Linux phone" thing and the Pine Phone is the one I have consistently seen people stick with. It's not exactly a powerhouse and has a few quirks regarding the firmware, but all these things are manageable especially if you just need a phone with internet access and you aren't going to be sitting around on it all day.
