When we think of men who are hero's, include this man, Linus Torvalds.
Linus, the creator of the core of Linux, could have been a wealthy man. He could have built and lived in a "Xanadu" with massive villas in the south of France ...
BUT
He didn't. He chose to donate his passion to the world! No $$$. I have hero's. He is one of them.

He wrote a kernel. Your argument is that of fire. Fire has burnt down entire villages, arsons use fire, so should be ban it? Fire has also saved millions with heat, food preparation, etc. He did not create a nuclear bomb. He wrote a kernel. He is not accountable for how others use his creation. If you have a real issue with Linus, such as his anger issues, then it is worth discussing. Your issue is warrantless.

Very high on my list of personal heros. Along with Brian Kernighan, Dennis Ritchie, and Ken Thompson.
