@Ivey Janette McClelland I can't imagine the God those miscreants believe in, but they believed it was God's will that the Confederacy would win, and barring that, The South's Gonna Rise Again. They've been smacked down time and time again but their religion says to remain steadfast to show their God they're True Believers and one day their God is going to deliver the goods. They thought that installing Trump in the White House was a sign that their time has come at long last. Their faith is misplaced and has always been, but nobody can tell 'em that. You can tell a bigot when you encounter one but you can't tell 'em much.
