I wonder if the reason the current US regime hasn't started coming down on Signal yet is because they're still working on their own FOUO ( or however they plan to designate it ) fork or alternative. Once they have theirs, then I can see them coming for everyone else's. Just a thought as people build out resiliency and contingency plans.

after scrolling a bit, I got this lame error taking up the whole screen:

Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the
browser console for more information).

That makes no sense, but I'm on a mobile, so how the fuck am I supposed to look at a console?

The web page was looking fine until that popped up and obscured everything!

Crappy site!

As usual, archive.is saves the day: archive.is/ein6g

@Ryo Kimball @cR0w This is all nonsense. I was using End to End encryption 20 years ago on Pidgin. So if criminals want to use E2E Enc, they are going to. By compromising the integrity of E2E Enc provided by Apple, Samsung, and others it will only help the criminals not Law Enforcement. A criminal enterprise does not need E2E Enc supplied by their communication providers. They can use their own devices as they always have and will continue to do. There is no good that can come from this.
