Okay, unfollowed the "climate influencer" who never checks their Mastodon replies, after they used an AI-generated image to try to promote sustainability.

My profile pic is SD of several of my pics set to a neon punk background. I also used ComfyUI to generate it and used less power than it takes to run my VPS for my friendica instance. Not all AI is a problem climate wise. Big AI on Server Farms are the issue. Not self hosted AI.

@Christian_Freiherr_von_Wolff For me it's a weird basal reaction of fear and disgust, like I know it's a threat response but also one of suspicion because it is off by just enough to warrant suspicion which is exactly the uncanny valley effect.
