Fish is okay if you cannot afford red meats, but red meats are far better for you. The issue with fish these days is that most major water sources (at least here in the USA) are polluted to some level. It is hard to source fish that is not high in heavy metals such as mercury. Pork and Poultry is fine too but they are fed a poor diet which produces more Omega 6 fat (which is not good) instead of healthy Omega 3 fats. Beef and lamb are better because they are typically grass fed and out in a pasture which produces meat which is high in Omega 3 fats v Omega 6.

A lot of the horrible information that we were raised on regarding red meat being unhealthy is quite frankly just a lie. Red meat and eggs are the most nutritious food sources we have on the planet.

That is the idea, you should be full (satiated!). If you are hungry all the time you are going to overeat. Carbs leave you hungry and you end up eating more, even though you have already consumed way more calories than you need. Meat and fat satiate you and you do not feel like eating more. So it is not a struggle to not over eat.

Same here in America. Food prices are crazy. Especially real food and not food like products that are all carbs and killing people over here.
