Lol. The RFK stans came out today.

I’ll be as polite as I can here:

RFK could choke on a fucking pinecone and I would piss on his headstone every time I was in town.

I watched people die of vaccine preventable disease in ‘21-22. I hospitalized flu patients this fall who didn’t vaccinate. I’ve listened to people cling to false hope that avoiding seed oils will cure their cancer.

RFK is an evil shitbag grifter. Every death from his nonsense rests on him. Fuck the guy with a hedge trimmer.

Remember that RFK Jr has a eugenicist billionaire bigot backing him & the antivaxxer Ideology; Tim Mellon.

Why doesn't anyone ask why billionaires don't want people to get vaccinated?

These people are sick, they have to be right and buck the medical science. One of our Peds providers got sick of that attitude and asked families to sign a waiver.

If any of your family get diagnosed with any preventable disease, insurance will not cover the treatment and it will be fully out of pocket. Not enforcable, but made them blink for sure.

I'm older than rfk jr, I can only guess that he was stoned on junk or the like when his friends were dying or wearing braces or he just didn't care then and really doesn't care now. I've had those "childhood diseases" I remember the friends and family that died. We all hated the Idea of having to have a "Party" where one of us had measles & maybe we'd have a resistance. That is really hard on kids. Anyone who refuses to have their children vaccinated is committing child abuse.

Absolutely. LEt me comment this:

In 1962 there was no vaccine and I was 5 yo. (I'm Costarican). I had measles and it was terrible for my mom watching her son having 42+ Celsius and convulsions.

My daughter and her offspring will NEVER experience that terror. Because of the MMR vaccine, which cover other, then-so-called "children maladies".

We have had some episodes of people with measles entering CR but we don't have the equivalent of RFK Jr. Zero native cases since 1999.

I despise that grifter, especially because I have family in the USA.

Where to start here…

RFK’s form of nutjobbery takes facts (some seed oils may increase inflammation), adds conjecture (they could increase cancer risk because of inflammation), and then runs with it to promote some absolute bullshit. The result is people doing things like eating more red meat (a known carcinogen) because they think the fat is healthier, or people thinking avoiding sunflower seed oil will affect the outcome of their metastatic cancer.

in reply to McNadoMD

@unusnemo

The fact is that we don’t actually know if seed oils cause cancer, or even increase risk, by themselves. We absolutely know that certain seed oils, when exposed to high temperature cooking repeatedly (so, used, stored, used again, etc.), increase cancer risk, but that isn’t the same as eating some brownies with canola oil.

Things that do cause cancer, like red meat, are actually being promoted by RFK and his band of merry misinfo peddlers.

in reply to McNadoMD

@unusnemo we also know, without any doubt whatsoever, that influenza, Sars-CoV-2, streptococcus pneumoniae, diptheria tetani, meningococcus, measles, varicella, and other vaccine-preventable diseases cause death. We know, without a doubt, that human papilloma virus causes cancers that kill. RFK is constantly and actively working to undermine confidence in vaccines, and is now, with Vinay Prasad, blocking access as well.
