It's what Rachel Maddow said tonight which prompts this post; I'm about to take a bird's eye view beginning with the Obama Administration, because please recall that he still did a lot of deportations, but at the same time recall that he took in a lot of Middle Eastern refugees, which settled in the southern tier states because of climate/acclimation issues.

Those were the "red states" that became increasingly resentful of immigration, refugees or not--it was diluting their thusfar solid White Voter base. Recall also they're notoriously religion intolerant against Muslims in particular. Now--considering the saying about the long arc of history bends toward justice--Maddow reports that municipalities aren't issuing permits for building new detention centers. You'd think that cities in "blue states" could be expected to do this, but, figuring that "red state" cities would welcome this sort of thing, well...it amounts to all those alleged "worst of the worst" coming home to roost in the very geographical locations that voted to have them removed.

The people who applaud #ICE arrests are finding that the arrested are intended to be sent to detention centers in their own friggin' back yards. #KARMA
