sauropods.win/@TheDinosaurDave… TheDinosaurDave@sauropods.win - This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Megalonyx

The first fossils of a large animal were found in a cave in 1796 by Colonel John Stuart. He sent them to Thomas Jefferson as he was getting ready to become president.

Jefferson examined the femur fragment, ulna, radius and foot bones, including three large claws and wrote a paper about them. He named the animal Megalonyx from the Greek "Mega" (giant) and "Onyx" (claw).

In 1799 Caspar Wistar identified them as the remains of a Giant Ground Sloth

mastodon.social/@SeanCasten/11… SeanCasten@mastodon.social - Congress must address Kristi Noem's failed leadership, up to and including impeachment. But that alone is insufficient.

The entire chain of command who have enabled a culture of murder must face justice.

I just ran across a dumbass posting about how he had run across some dumbass trying to convince him that there was no difference between Dems & GOP, basically calling all Palestinians dumbasses.

Dems support Netanyahu. GOP supports Netanyahu. The dumbass is the one that can't understand this.

I know I posted one today and this must stay unique.

I know, I am just pointing this out because christians quite often pretend that there is a law that prevents them from praying in school. Which is absolutely false. In fact they legally cannot be stopped from praying in school, and they know that. They are just mad because now they cannot have the teacher force their religious ideas on others that do not have the same beliefs they have. A lot of times people that do not live in America think that we have such laws and do not realize they have been duped by the christians.

I understood that it was a fortune quote πŸ˜‰ no worries there. Though the lolcat is mad at you for forgetting about them! πŸ˜€

Since you all love AI so much to kill someone

in reply to plan-A

@plan-A

No LLM can browse or fetch things from online. The process of training LLMs with data from online requires that you download the information yourself and then use it to train the LLM. Downloading this data can be a done via a bot or manually. The training process can done in many ways and I will not get into that here but if you ask your AI how to train it then it will tell you πŸ˜‰.

By the way a great place to get free public domain text files for training is Project Gutenberg. But, please do not use bots there as it can encumber their server, if you do use a bot then set it to pause for a decent duration between downloads.

#ProductReview #Logitech #YetiOrbMic

Went to Walmart Supercenter nearby in search of a decent-quality USB mic and liked how the package made the Yeti Orb seemed, cardioid patterning and all and it was for gamers (and I know how picky gamers can be about audio quality).

But I'm returning it tomorrow because it failed on gain, and that's after I downloaded the Logitech G-HUB software, too. Used that to set it on high gain, set the gain setting on Audacity way the hell up there and still feeble signal. NO mic should have to go through all that crap just to get a peep out of it. Friends won't let friends buy that brick.

Nobody Knows Where John Brown Went

A #NoEffort entry from 1910, sung by Arthur Collins, on cylinder. This is about the John Brown of Harper's Ferry fame circa 1859..

Weeks ago, I said ICE was going to kill people if they kept on like this.

For once, I wish I were incorrect...

@Blaise

I have read that there are 9 or more instances just like this in the last physical year. This is not a new level of violence for them, it is their status quo. In fact the officer in question that murdered (in my opinion) this innocent lady also murdered (in my opinion) another victim in Chicago recently.

note: Be advised I have not fact checked this. There could be more or less events I am unaware of.

Yeah, tho JibJab bit the political dust in favor of producing digital greeting cards, we still have #AllHatNoCattle doing the heavy lifting these days.
in reply to Radio Free Trumpistan

They're posting their gems on Blogspot these days (yeah, i know--it's Google) but it's high time we resurrect these #Dubya era geniuses, especially now that Noem wears hers like a sombrero.

They've got some plain vanilla general memes, too.
Alt = "When your cactus has had enough of your dirty windows..." picturing a mini-Saguaro-type cactus with a side arm sporting a single white flower, in a pot next to a window and it looks like the flower is being used to wipe the window with.

Kismet.
Here I was talking about a 50/50 mixture conversion and then CNA pops up with a Kpop group of the same name.
